Pacific Poker - $0.05 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

UTG: 104 BB
MP: 94.4 BB
CO: 68.8 BB
BTN: 102.4 BB
Hero (SB): 100 BB
BB: 126.2 BB

Hero posts SB 0.4 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.4 BB) Hero has J♠ J♣

fold, MP calls 1 BB, CO calls 1 BB, fold, Hero raises to 5 BB, BB raises to 15 BB, fold, CO calls 14 BB, Hero calls 10 BB

Flop: (46 BB, 3 players) 6♣ 8♦ 6♦
Hero checks, BB bets 17.2 BB, CO calls 17.2 BB, Hero calls 17.2 BB

Turn: (97.6 BB, 3 players) K♦
Hero checks, BB checks, CO checks

River: (97.6 BB, 3 players) 3♥
Hero checks, BB checks, CO bets 36.6 BB and is all-in,

Spoiler

Hero calls 36.6 BB, fold

CO shows Qh7h.

Hero wins 160.8 BB

*BB shows he folded QQ

Villain on the BB is a 16/14 3bet 12% over 165 hands.
Villain on the CO is unknown.

PF I want to punish the limpers, make it 5x
I call the 3bet, too bad that I'm OOP, but jacks seems too weak to 4bet and too strong to fold, even the raise of villain on the BB being ~1/6 his stack.

F comes a low paired board, with 2 diamonds. I certainly do not think anyone has hit this flop except for the FD, and that a Cbet will come very often from worse hands.
BB cbets 1/3 and I'm ok with calling here (although I considered shoving because of the SPR, I don't think jacks would get calls from the FD or Ax: likely I'm just running into better overpairs)

T completes the flush and a good card for opponent's range.
It gets checked around, so I definitely don't think anyone has a K here without a bet. It's less likely that someone completed the flush as well.
JJ has a lot of showdown value, so check.

R comes a brick.
I think jacks is alright here most of the time.
I would certainly fold to a shove, but that was not the case. Although being a mw pot (decreased likelihood of a bluff) I just don't believe this guy has it. 67s? don't see it slowplaying that board, 66? could be, but 1 combo, AA, KK, QQ would've 4betted pre.
A little worried with the guy on my left, though.

What would you have done here?

Thanks.

Yup, that is quite correct β€” even larger, but not too large.

Again, I think you're right, we want to see a flop w/ JJ β€” but we don't want to see Aces, Kings or even Queens on the flop. Yeah, tall order I realize.

check/call is OK

Well, since they both check, that is a good sign β€” would you have called here?

Pretty sharp of CO to bluff, and pretty πŸ” of BB to fold.
CO has only 1/3 pot behind, so absolutely anyone with decent showdown should call.

Nice hand.
I also note that BB did bet the flop, but bet only 1/3 pot, It should have been much bigger. Although it records in trackers as aggression, it is so weak it lets both you and CO continue β€” although CO should have folded IMO

With flush draw and two qualified i am gonna stack off right OTF. There are plenty of turn cards that hero wont like. Your hand need protection so slowplaying is not a good idea

Pocket jacks is problem to call 3bet without position in 3way action. On every overcard should fold postflop and on low board somebody can still better overpair or get set for example. If You don't close action preflop like here I don't call.

Had BB had bet that flop bigger I would have leaned towards a fold. Calling puts us in a terrible spot if a over card or flush lands on the turn. Check jam vs CO yes, but against the BB? I don't know.

That's a tricky move. The BB will only Cbet with 88+. I don't expect villain will have 66 or a 6 in his/her range after the 3bet pre-flop. I also see that the BB 3bets 12%. Off course we don't know if villain squeezed like this with a wide range as well. This is a spot I would consider to jam JJ pre-flop.

Cheers,

I don't think so. Actually, a T bet would make a more effective bluff from CO.

Had he betted larger, I would shove or fold, but I would lean towards the fold also.
I don't know wth CO is limp-calling a 3bet of that size, so against him I'm certainly going all-in.

4bet jamming pre flop literally prints money :
-> Very often you will take the pot right away ( 30bb+ ! ) and deny equity from some ATs, AQ...
-> When you get called you gave decent EQ ( AK ; TT+ )

Calling is possible but you would hardly make money here, put in sandwich without leading the aggression with an unplayable hand that might always be dominated.

Not much of a choice. It's like half deck of the cards hero wont like on the later streets and is OOP.
