Hand gets to show down board is 5c6h7c 9s 7d preflop 5 players 15.00 each total pot 75.00-6.00 drop 69.00 I went all in on flop from button (62.00 3s5s) after 5 other players checked I got one caller and I'm first to act because I was last aggressor. I said two pair and tabled my hand he flipped up a 9 and put his other card face down and pushed it towards the middle of the table. Here is where it goes bad as I see it! Another player tells him he needs to show both cards to win he says no I don't want too and pushed the face down card even further away. Then the freaking dealer pushed it back to him and tells him he has two pair too and he grabs the other card and turns it face up, the floor is called over and they rule his hand live since he was able to retreive it before hitting the muck and he wins the pot. Thats right the dealer pushed it back to him and told him he had 2 pair too. Any thoughts on this?

Hi DonEige442,
Welcome to PokerStrategy.com ![]()
Well, my first thought is that the "wall of text" is very hard to read, and a lot of people that might have a solid answer would pass over it without reading it.
I added some white space. but made no other edits.
The floor ruled against you.
Is there any appeal after that in that casino?
If so, use it.
If not, and it were me in your place, that would be the last time I played there, and I would let them know in writing why.
I have the opposite opinion.
The dealer is there to protect players who don't exactly know the rules.
You also can't allow to openly muck the best hand at the showdown. Too much shenanigans possible.
It's the dealers right to tell who when's right it is to push something over the betting line and revert action.

In the process of trying to decipher the original post, I missed the fact that the 9 is the only hole card that matters.
The "other" card besides the 9 were totally irrelevant, and OP lost the hand.
Even so, if OP does not feel safe in that casino, he should not play in that casino.
