GG Poker - $0.25 NL FAST (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players

BTN: 181.4 BB
Hero (SB): 144 BB
BB: 117.2 BB
UTG: 134.92 BB
MP: 56.08 BB
CO: 83.72 BB

Hero posts SB 0.4 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.4 BB) Hero has Q♣ Q♥

fold, fold, fold, BTN raises to 2.2 BB, Hero raises to 14 BB, fold, BTN calls 11.8 BB

Flop: (29 BB, 2 players) T♦ Q♦ 7♠
Hero bets 7.6 BB, BTN calls 7.6 BB

Turn: (44.2 BB, 2 players) 4♣
Hero bets 34.48 BB, BTN calls 34.48 BB

River: (113.16 BB, 2 players) 6♦
Hero bets 87.92 BB and is all-in

I think the villain is a random tag.

Thoughts?

It's interesting that you 3bet so big pre-flop. 4x should be big enough
Also the flop Cbet seems small on a pretty wet board. I would make it around 14bb.
As played turn and river seems pretty standard qua sizing I think.

Cheers,

I agree with SDK i would at least half pot the flop, very drawy texture. No need for the huge 3b pre. If you had aces then fair but if you get 4b back huge it's not a good spot.

My 3bet size usually is 12BB. I'm making it bigger here because we are 144BBESS. It's a random thing though because I don't always do it. AA/KK gets me every time, yes. Because it's not like I'm gonna fold QQ preflop in the blind battles.

Well you should strive for consistency except for in exploitative situations.
And i mean if you have AA then raising to 14BB is fine as an exploit. But with QQ we don't want to bloat the pot unnecessarily. If you face a huge 4b of say 28, that puts us in an uncomfortable position. Where as if you make it 10, an they 4b to 22, then you can call easier because of the bigger SPR.

10BB is reasonable vs 2.2BB open, sure.

On river x/c is superior to bet as you let him turn something into bluff and with top set you block a lot of calling range.

this is only positive EV if you know villain is able to make a bluff after showing no aggression on 2 streets, Becuase if it does check through then you are losing a tremendous amount of EV. If say he has AQ, i know case Q. IMO

Question is - how often we will get call from AQ(4 combo) or KQs(1 combo) 140bb deep on that particular river? I would jam there more happily KJ or 87 than call off AQ without diamond.
