First, I don't think the call pre is good. You should play squeeze or fold...Maybe you can call with some pocket pairs, 99, 88, still it's questionable..But K9s is definitely a fold. And this is a leak, this hand in your range means at least Axs, SCs, QTs and small pocket pairs..

OTF, check is not bad..The rest, I think you should play passively..You have nut FD + pair, but if he shoves OTT, what then? If you hit your 9 OTR? If you hit another K OTR? What then? Or 8♣:... This hand is just weird, I don't play like that and I don't know. I just don't like it...you should be polarized with those moves. But you have a middle pair...If you like to be aggro, then lead OTF or check raise OTF...You think about his range and you put him on AQ, AJ, ATs...A "normal" player, should have here only ATs, I think..."Maybe"..55 is only 3 combos and also can be fold preflop, but with this action...I will expect that ..I will be afraid of that, when he calls OTT..And if he shoves OTT (3bet), I also will think about that..You don't like the SD value, but actually this middle pair will win sometime. Sometime he will give up OTR, lets say with FD or JT, QT..He still can have some Ax and still can play for stacks. Some fish..And fold, if the club comes..Just don't call from SB, that's the main reason for this ugly spot...

Let's say you are on BB...Will be a similar spot..But if you call with this hand on SB, then on BB you should call a lot. To be "equal"..How this can be good. Ok, you recognize +EV call preflop..Just play passively, like a fish...Fishy call, OK, play like a fish. "Scared fish"..You should be scared :f_biggrin:..You range is capped and everyone knows that..You can lead on some flops, if you expect some FE and high percentage of check back from the raiser..On some boards with some hands..

Call pre is fine according to solver.

I don't like the way you played it though.

I would just take the equity at hand and call down and see if I hit it. The board texture is just not very good for this bluff. I actually have a hand similar to this one that I want to discuss later. And why the villain tends to call down even against shove.

Really? That's very good news then...The poker have a bright future then..It's not dying.. I am pretty sure this is a huge leak. Playing like that from the blinds..Only this can ruin your win rate on NL25..But what do I know..The mighty solver knows better..Unfortunately almost no one is listening to the coaches. About this things...I saw this with my own eyes. "Who will call with this hand from the BB" , "No, no , no"..30 times..And he said "This is a very easy call from BB"...Ok..If you say so..But that is because the coach have amazing post flop skills and he refuse to pay a rake...even without a HUD. The coaches they do not need a HUD. To play like a Gods..

In this hand is it because he unblocks clubs? But 55 is possible as well as A5 (unless V expects A5s to 3bet) and K8, but this is a narrow range.

C/r flop instead if you want to do a semi bluff. Then evaluate turn.

You could go for bet turn and river, way more fold equity Vs Ax

If you c/r turn you are not on a premium range as those would all c/r flop to protect Vs flush draw multiway. Fold equity is bad as line does not make that much sense.

I would just call the turn to try to hit the flush. Especially multi way you can expect villain has a tight range. River I would fold unimproved.

Cheers,
