BR-Challenge/Shortdeck in wintertime

Hi, I am Mizzz from germany. As shortdeck is not a big thing in german forum (its simply non-existent :D ) I will blog while challenging myself here. I am >60 yrs old and my motivation is: I want to try to learn this game better, than I did before and become "that old ***, I dont like to play against". I really enjoy that thought! I started with 50€ on aug, 26 and things went very fine (after I got back into the game): As one can see, I am struggling with EV the last 5k hands and so I worked on "what to call against shoves" today and next I will work a lot on "call flop (and give up *sigh*)" or NOT call, when equity doesnt fit. As we play a real lot of hands multiway in SD, I think, I urgently need to adjust my calling ranges OTF! Additionally I struggle on preflop-game; I play way to less hands and dont find the ones, I should give a try! Simple basics, that I dont master atm! So here we go... as I signed in to BR-chanllenge some days ago (09.09.22), my starting-BR for this has been 155$ (played a bit of SD5 too and ran way above EV!) ,stars helped a lot to that point and did even more since then: So I will try to make my way to 1000$ first actually 267$), and then take a look; as I now want to try this thing a bit more seriously, atm I dont play SD 5; move up to that level is planned, when I reach 300$ AND have the feeling, I fixed some of my biggest leaks! That's tough man.
Have to say NL2 and NL5 is crazy. A lot of gamblers and super high rake...
Would seriously sujest to start at NL10 but be aware for downswing as I had recently...

The magic you are looking for is in the work you're avoiding...
