How to turn T$1000 into $10 000 cash

Hello everyone,

Last Monday, I started my study session by reviewing some of the tournaments that I played, and after that I made some gameplay scenarios analyzing the mistakes made by me in those tournaments. After that I played some tournaments and I had some small results.

Not much has happened until Thursday ( other then me wining a Power Path Step 4 ticket), when I had some more small results.

After that I haven't been playing poker at all until Sunday Evening, ( I had some family over), but on Sunday I played the Episode 3 from the SM Season, also I used my Step 4 ticket for entry into the Sunday Million and played the Sunday Storm also.

The only result on Sunday was a min cash in Sunday Million, but no bounties for me. It was a strange Sunday Million this one...this time since nothing went my way, I was the guy that waited for the min cash on the money bubble, usually I get creative in that stage of a tournament

But for a free entry I'm happy with a min cash in SM, it made this week end in a profit.

Sorry for the late update, I had a lot happening outside poker.

This week I took the time and had a look over my current database. What I noticed after analyzing the database that I have, is that I am doing great on Mondays. And what I mean is, that I'm used to play my way into the daily tournaments ( I love playing some satellites because of the experience, of playing short stacked, of playing turbo/hyper turbo short handed and also for the change to qualify without paying the full buy-in )…. and when I play them on Monday, it seems that I manage to play lesser qualifiers and have nicer results then the rest of the week. It may be because I study for 1-2 hours more on Mondays, or it may be because I want to start the week right …I don't know yet....And on the other hand, it seems that I play worst on Wednesday ❓ I think that I need to figure out how to be constant during the whole week. The good part is that I have only 2 day with negative winnings.

So....I started the week with a small result in the $11 Bounty Builder on Monday, ( played only 4 tournaments on 18th ).

On Tuesday since every tournaments starts 1 hours early then usual I decided that I will play the Big $11, and after 5 hours of play I finished 58th...still looking for that win....:sorry: late at night I played the $11 Micro Super Tuesday and finished 357th ( If this tournaments where a little bit early I would play them regularly especially the second one...it has a nice format and I really enjoyed them )

After that on Wednesday I got sick and I broke my own rule "to not play if I don't feel up too"....and I haven't been playing my best game, made some stupid mistakes and lost every single satellite or tournament that I played.... Also this week might became the RUNNER RUNNER week because it seems that all my opponents knocked me after they get there on the turn and river. :mdr::mdr::mdr:

I haven't had any result from Wednesday until Sunday :f_o::f_mad::f_o::f_mad::f_o::f_mad:, but to be fair since I was sick I did not play as much as I would usually do... On Sunday evening I had to go to a Jazz concert, (so I knew that I won't play any tournaments), but in the morning I saw a $0.11 satellite to Sunday Storm and decided to play it...and I won it ( did not re-buy or add on at all, I was first for most of the satellite ) and managed to win a Sunday Storm ticket...luckily for me I did not have to play that exact Sunday Storm , so I might play it this Sunday ( I'll have to see because my wife side of the family are celebrating Easter this week ).

Ended the week with a big loss ( over $90 ), but luckily I played this Monday and managed to get deep into $11 Mini Fenomeno and saved my week a bit. :f_smile:, but yesterday wasn't a good day and dropped around $20 on satellites with no major cash. ( roller-coaster update )

I'm still searching for that tournament win.

This past few weeks I did not play that good, but my luck ran out also. Since 1st Easter was at the end of last month, I had some days off to enjoy them with family.

Since the last update I played mostly the $11 dailies, Big $11, $11 mini Fenomeno, some $7.50 Bounty Builders, and also some smaller buy-in tournaments, but the only reasonable result was in the Easter Sunday, when I got home late and registered in the Sunday Storm and finished 1917th, but I got some nice bounties. Also the next Monday I finished decently in the $16.50 Bounty Builder, I wanted to see what tournaments are in the $15-$22 range on Stars, that I might want to try and qualify .

After that all went downhill :transpire:, still played the dailies and nothing seems to go my way, I could not hold any pocket pairs, any straights, nothing. But the good part of that is the way I played, I'm really happy with the way I played my hands and spots....there where some moments when I was "inspired" and shoved my AJ, QK, JT into AA, KK, or QQ, but for the most part I played good.

Sunday came and the Big Sunday Million was up....during the week I played also some $4 Spin & Go's and managed to get some $11 satellite, but what do you know the big qualifier was a $0.50 Sunday Million Hyper-Turbo Deep

I started my SM journey with 27BB and lasted 15 hands. The first big hand was AJo from the UTG1 and I raised it, after that I got a 3-bet from BU....here is the moment I think I should have folded, ( I had some stats on the BU and I made a note on him after this hand -- he has a very strong player -- I looked him up after I got out and he is a High Stakes regular with a lot of nice results ), nevertheless I called his 3-bet and the flop came 5♦:5♣:K♠:, I check and he c-bet 2BB and I raise him and he calls, T♠: on the turn and it goes check/check, river is another T♥: I checked and he bets half pot....If I called I am left with 4bb so I folded. In my opinion his 1/2 pot bet on the river screamed strong hand, that is the reason I folded...I don't know exactly if I was wrong but, I will post this hand and see what other players think about it. ❓

Sorry for the late update but "daily things" got in the way

For the last week, I have been focusing more on study and less on playing, it felt good to take some time off from grinding and just enjoy the time away. During the week I played mostly some freerolls from my phone while I was watching some football matches, but late and night I played some $3.30 and $4.40 bounty tournaments. I did not want to play the mini fenomeno or the $11 tournaments since they take to long to complete ( if you play well ).

From Thursday to Saturday I took a break fully from poker....no study and no games....I was out in enjoying the nature and the good sunny weather.

I was so mad at me...for this....I also think that I made the mistake to have to many tables opened

After that I played the Sunday Storm...managed to get multiple tickets (T$) to it. The first one was from a $0.95 hyper turbo sit & go. Those where mad value. I also played some more satellites when the late reg was still open, they where some nice once, with 500 seats GTD, 350 seats GTD and 275 seats GTD, played them all and got some more T$.

In the Sunday Storm I played day 1 until level 24, at about 3:30 AM or something my time, I felt that my eyes where closing in front of the PC ... the time away before Sunday and sleeping at a decent hour got me good this time.

After that this Monday I managed to start fresh and study more, also with the T$ earned on Sunday I tried the new Mystery Bounty tournaments but I did not get into the money places until yesterday.

The biggest result of the week comes from a $2.20 Bounty Builder that I played yesterday, when I reached the final table and finished 4th after a brutal KO.

Last week was a short one, since I played only 3 days. I had Saturday off, and most of my games where on Sunday, when I tried to qualify to Sunday Million but I was not able to...played only 2 big satellites, one $5.50 with 350 seats GTD and the other one was a $11 with 400 seats GTD, in the last one I used one of my $11 Power Path tickets. In the $5.50 I tried to isolate the UTG1 player from the BB and got called by the SB who had AA and called the min raise from UTG1....short story he made quads and KO us both

He got out soon after, by making some stupid mistakes...So I got some satisfaction from that....some players man.....:wtf:

Soon after this hand I managed to get back up over the 50BB stack, but for the next hour and a half I had no decent cards, so after about 1h and a half I shoved 55 from the BB and BU called me with A4s and I was out when he hit his A. Finished 323rd with some nice bounties won.

I really want to win this tournament and the way I played yesterday I really thought I can bring it home. I will soon enough

This last 2 weeks I had a long break from poker where from 25th of April I did not had any contact with poker. I played 7 tournaments from Monday the 22nd of April until Thursday the 25th when I left home. It was nice to get away and not grind and study, just have a good time and relax in nature.

I hope I can do this more often, I fell relaxed and ready to play again and study more. Now back to poker

SCOOP started yesterday and since I got home late, and I had a long drive I decided not to play yesterday, so for me SCOOP will start today. But I will have to see what tournaments I will play, since I will be playing a lot also on GGPoker, so I will need to balance the no. of tournaments that I will play.
The plan is to play only full ring tournaments, no 6-max players tournaments for me, and I will post daily the schedule with the tournaments that I plan to play.

For today the plan is to play this 3 tournaments.....but the last one is starting a bit late for me and I will have to see if I will be playing it....since I will go to work in the morning.

I'm hoping for a decent series this year...I really want that 1st SCOOP title. 🏆

Yesterday I played only the 1 SCOOP event, the $2.20 and I managed to get into the money, finishing 505th. Also I tried to qualify to 2 more events but I did not managed to do so.

Played yesterday the 2 SCOOP events that I had plan, in the first one I bought in directly for $2.20 and in the second one I managed to get a seat via a $1.10 satellite.

Sadly I did not get the money places in neither of them, in the $2.20 I got out when I shoved 16BB from the UTG+1 after a min raise from the UTG, but the BB called me with AA....so that was that.

AA vs 22 with 58bb deep,i dont think there is much you can do to avoid losing the stack...

Yesterday I played only the first tournament ( SCOOP 28-L $22 PKO, Thursday Thrill), after I qualified via a hyper-turbo $3.30 sit & go. I managed to get some small bounties and also finish in the money, but no day 2 for me

Today I don't think that I will play any tournaments since I have a lot to prepare for me leaving on Sunday ✈️....maybe some tournaments late at night if I'm not tired. I will have to see.

Quickly went through previous month posts. There was spot with AJo in Sunday million where you open raised UTG AJo and faced 3bet. This is indeed easy fold as if this was 9handed table AJo should be pretty much bottom of your open range from Axo hands. In general though being OOP AJo tends to be 4bet or fold hand preflop. Perhaps not in SBvsBB scenario though. As late position open it's likely fine to call 3bets while in position.
