EP has played lot of hands with open raise and had been aggro postflop. BB seemed like reggy solid player. Both CO and SB probably around 30/15 type playing bit too much by calling but somewhat reasonable overall. I went for preflop call in position having decent hand.

Flop SPR is 20 versus EP so I didnt think my hand really wants to raise and open possibility of 3bet as we would then be against very tight range most likely. Would need bit more like two pair, gs or at least bdfd imo to raise.

Turn give me nuts but its also 4way. Plus I block JJ. So I decided to downsize on turn and river based on fact that its very unlikely I have bluffs in this spot. Now afterward I didnt really like this thinking based on the type of opponent EP was. But would you follow this kind of logic ever versus unknown or reggy opponents? E.g. personally I would probably not have any bluffs in this spot with 4way action. But should we really care about this side and just use pot size bets as we anyway rep having nuts for value pretty much.

I would have played this hand same way, Maybe I play too tight because gs, 2 pair or bdfd would not be enough for me to raise, only top set. If Lorrossi3 raises do you fold?

I was just thinking about this spot, x-c flop as IP and hitting flush OTT sizing. I think in this spot villain's continues are elastic to size. So sizing up is they way to go. Your river sizing caught my attention. OTT you bet 75% but your river follow through you bet less than 50%. I think you're missing a lot of value by sizing down.

River bet was half pot. As said versus this EP player I don't like it because I don't think he really thinks of my range.

Issue versus somewhat thinking player though is that it's really tough for me to have bluff here. It requires:

1: To overcall pre with non suited Ax.
2: To overcall flop in 5way pot with two player left to act.
3: To start bluffing versus three players on turn.
4: To continue bluff on river.

Now step one limits hand range already quite a bit. Some weak AA could make sense though I think most AA wants to squeeze in position. Then some AQJT without A high suit make sense and some AJJT type. Though we can also squeeze these type of hands as well.

On flop facing big bet I won't call plain top pair. Which limits offsuit Ax hands further. AJJ is possible though we probably want to raise with A♦:.

If we come to turn with some nut blocker hands we still prefer to have some equity when bluffing. Those are not that numerous. I suppose river follow through is overall one of easier steps if we come to turn with suitable hand.

Anyway I very often just pot, pot in this sort of spot but just felt like it's almost impossible to have bluffs here. Versus reggy player this might be good consideration as I feel like thinking player will very potentially fold almost whole range versus pot, pot line.

Not sure how I would have played but it is indeed very nasty spot if we face raises in general after or before our call. Reason being it's 5way pot so most players have very set heavy ranges when we hold nfd.

Solver is raising more often than calling in your shoes facing 2 calls. Your specific combo would be a 80% raise in this multiway situation. I rather treat it like a 4way pot than 5way because people overcall too light (as they should not). BB pdef here is overly loose for sure..

I personally also would have raised it, we usually do not gain a lot by giving another freecard and we put significant pressure on hands that have decent equity against us but could not continue (overpair+ mediocre flushdraw/oesd-straightdraw, naked weak 2pairs, ...). Especially straightdraws are likely trying to see another card and some of them cannot call the shove. I would not think too much about balancing, it´s a rare situation and we are supposed to be playing quite straightforward anyways (solver is pretty top-range heavy/equiity-driven).

If we were like 200bb deep or less I would not mind raising to stack off on flop. But we are 350bb deep which create situation where we have to fold versus 3bet from EP. He was active but still I would think his range to 3bet would be too set heavy. Now it doesn't mean raise-folding would be necessarily bad as facing EP 3bet is still rare. But should be imo bit careful with that.

sorry I did not see that we are so deep. This makes raising too thin indeed
