Villain is laggy reggy type villain. There has been fair amount of 3bets flying as well.

Preflop standard 3bet. On flop I went with cbet as I would bet range on this flop though we block stuff heavily. Turn does open more draws. I was thinking of checking here as we want to have some very strong hands in check range to protect weaker part. Plus I think this is sort of turn where people in general always pot when they have like AT+ which means aggro villain might be quite bet happy when we show weakness. Though I think some of weaker AT and sets might also want to check to be able to x-r allin. But not sure I think SPR (1.5) is low enough that its not necessarily such big thing. Would be different story imo with like SPR 3.

It's not a spot where opponent should be bluff happy. That board should hit your 3bet range quite well, and check should raise some alarm for opponent. When he calls the flop, I think his range is heavily weighted to Axxx. You block high flushdraws and there can't be any straight draws (he could have 43 for sure). I wouldn't try to trap here, as majority of his range is either a hand that we get money in no matter what, or a hand that could call but not bet.

Not sure why check would look suspicious considering we have fairly wide 3bet range pre and we also cbet range on flop. Meaning range that come to turn is not really that strong.

Even decent amount of Ax are not necessarily good enough to commit on turn.

In my mind you shouldn't have a lot of check-folds on that board with your SB 3bet range. So check is weighted towards traps and check-calls, which makes it somewhat bad spot to bluff with weak fd or weak Axxx.

In solver world SB cbets 1/3 pot on this flop, and with AA+nfd+gs pretty much starts with a check. If flop was bet, turn is check-raise. In real world, especially in player pool where nicknames can be changed, not sure how much we need to protect our checking ranges in these kind of spots.

When we have 3 spades in hand and As, Ks, and we block the straight, it really affects our opponent's calling range on the flop. In solver world, BTN folds to our 1/3 cbet only a bit over 1/3 of times. I don't think in this situation opponent is calling that wide, I think that vs. half a pot bet his calling range is pretty much A+ and some Q/J fd. And those fd hands should benefit from T a lot. In opponent's shoes, if you had a fd+qs type of hand, would you turn it into a bluff or take a free river is hero checks?

In my mind it's a spot where opponent shouldn't have that many hands that would bet vs. check, but fold if we bet (as we block so heavily everything). Of course if we think that opponent turns Q-high fd into a bluff and quite often bet Axxx, we should check. But as he calls the flop, I would just rep AA all the way and get the money in. With check we might miss value when he checks back.

I think usually this would be a standard value 2barrel ott, since we have a monster I would half-pot again to balance the bluffs (where I would have a lot since I cbet the flop with a 100% frequency).

If he has a high "3bp Turn-Float% in position" ( xD) you can check call twice as a trap (usually would check-shove but this specific hand blocking the :Kx: and :3x: aswell would suit well to slowplay, I'd probably go broke on a rivering flush even without blocker), but half-pot also works well against lags to induce shoves from my experience.

PS: I just checked Vision, with the nutflushdraw your top-set would be a high -frequency check-shove. We also should not half-pot 2barrel a lot at all in general with 2 flushdraws being present (I did not knew this either, something I have just learnt today). I think just simplify potting it all is easiest but with the topset+nutflushdraw we should rather slowplay. Considering the half-pot sizing, solver also does quite some half-potting (~25% whereas pot is ~50% ) having the triple nut suit A♠::spade::spade:, :3x: wheel blocker (+2% halfpot) and the :Kx: broadway-straightdraw blocker (+1% halfpot) so my intuition was not completely wrong here.^^

PPS: I just checked Monker too for the river play. On the turn we'd rather check-call some of those with the 2-card nfd and check-shove all those with the trip-suited nfd but once we check-call ott we can check-call broke 100% otr even on a sth. like a 6♣:
