SB: 156.6 BB
BB: 161.2 BB
UTG: 107.8 BB
MP: 40 BB
CO: 40 BB
Hero (BTN): 108.2 BB

SB posts SB 0.4 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB, MP posts penalty blind 1 BB, CO posts penalty blind 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 3.4 BB) Hero has J♠ A♣

fold, MP checks, CO checks, Hero raises to 5 BB, fold, BB calls 4 BB, fold, fold

Flop: (12.4 BB, 2 players) 6♦ 5♥ 7♠
BB checks, Hero checks

Turn: (12.4 BB, 2 players) 6♣
BB checks, Hero bets 7 BB, BB calls 7 BB

River: (26.4 BB, 2 players) J♣
BB checks, Hero bets 14 BB, BB raises to 40.6 BB, Hero???

Note There were 2 limpers in the pot that's why I raised 5bbs.

What do you guys think is this river bet too thin for value?

As played can we call river?

VP-24/PR-18/3B-7 over 243 hands

I would most likely check behind the turn and bet the river if villain checks to you.
I don't know if you bet for value or as bluff on the turn with a hand that has some showdown value.
River seems like a reasonable value bet. Off course villains range is capped of hand like trips or missed draws and hands like 88-99. After the raise I would expect you are always beat. I can't think of any value hands you beat and a bluff seems unlikely.

if he's aggro reg, turn could be a checkback, as you could get checkraised with bluff.

River- do you think he's capable of turning 8x into bluff? But there aren't much 8x in his bb calling range. i think you have to fold if i think about it

The strategy is preflop 3+1bb per limper when in position postflop, so 5bb is correct.
On the flop cbet 1/3 pot, but check the turn since you don't have a made hand.

On the river the strategy is not to bet, 2 pair on a paired board is not a made hand, but I think it's profitable here to bet and see a fold or weaker hand call.
I would fold to the check/raise. It's very likely you are facing a set or straight, much less likely a bluff.
