Local Casino $100 Bounty Tournament.

The bubble has burst at player 15 and there are 13 left.

The prize pool more or less:
1 $2100
2 $1300
3 $850
4 $500
5 $320
6 $230
7-11 $210
12-15 $160

UTG: 240000 (9.6 bb)
LJ: 450000 (18 bb)
HJ: 390000 (15.6 bb)
CO: 700000 (28 bb)
BU: 310000 (12.4 bb)
SB (hero): 348000 (13.9 bb)
BB: 250000 (10 bb)

Blinds: 10000/25000

PreFlop: (60000) Hero has J♦ 2♥
UTG folds, LJ folds, HJ folds, CO folds, BU folds, Hero calls, BB checks

Flop: (75000) J♥ 9♦ 8♣ (2 Players)
Hero bets 25000, BB calls

Turn: (125000) 5♦ (2 Players)
Hero checks, BB bets 175000, Hero calls

River: (475000) 3♣ (2 Players, 1 Player is All-in)

Total pot 475000

BB won (475000) showed 8♥:5♣:
SB (hero) showed J♦ 2♥

My rational was that it was very draw heavy on the turn and I was beating draws and draws with a pair, although I did have the J♦: that was blocking his flush draws. Also, this overbet seemed very bluffy to me and wanted to get me to throw anything like a weak pair. In the end, I would have gotten his bounty and would be up hugely to go deep into the first places.

What do you think of this hero call?

Postflop seems ok to me but would just open fold J2o in first place.

That would have been definitely better. We already had a bit of a history though as sb/bb.

Pre-flop is indeed a fold with J2o for 10bb effective. Hand hasn't much playability against a random hand in the BB and you play out of position. Post-flop seems reasonable, but always tricky to play top pair no kicker out of position.

No marginal decisions... (Pre-flop)
