Read less I would most likely shove pre-flop for 23b effective. If you just call like now you have only 16bb more behind and that's around pot size.
As played I would most likely just check behind. It will be hard to get to many better hands to fold and you don't get value.

His hand is irrelevant. He played his stack size. On his raise, you need to fold all but AA or KK, since just by open-folding all but those you get a ticket. The ticket is your goal, not just the hand.
Wanting to "win the hand so bad" is a mental game problem. Find and read "The Mental Game of Poker" by Barry Carter and Jared Tendler. Read the first few pages of my blog for more information

Ah, sorry. What I said is misleading. Its the satellites that are driving me mad, but this particular hand was just a normal turbo with a $150 or so top prize. Absolutely, survival in satellites is crucial.

Thank you for all the advice. I will pick that book up today. I have studied a fair amount, but my head is always getting in the way at the moment. $50 bank roll and a lack of patience. Need to switch my mentality.

Thanks so much for this reccomendation. So many aspects of tilt i havn't even thought of, like winners tilt, and getting too overexcited also blocking the thinking part of my brain.

Now i can sit in a game and feel my baseline, and look for variations to see when my mental game is being affected.

That's really tough and a $50 bankrioll isn't to much for MTT tournaments with the huge variance in it.

It is. Ive had a couple of final tables, but had to use the money for other things. Mainly i play the $150 satelites for the chance of a big score on Sundays, and maybe one or two turbos during the week while doing the satelites.

At least this way it leaves me a lot more time for studying during the weekdays, although may not be the best way to build a bankroll.

Satalites are tough to play as well with the huge ICM tax.
