What are your thoughts on the upcoming Finnish gambling reform and licensing system?
Rakeback and bonuses will not be allowed and sites that get a license will definitely increase the rake to cover the license costs etc. Do you think it will still be profitable to play omaha in Finland after this? This is really stressing me out.

Tough to say what sort of offering will be available under license system. Most likely options will decrease and of course if you need to pay taxes it won't be profitable (depending if it's only on profits or not). I have not studied how these things are actually done. I mean if player pools are still as they are now I guess rake itself stay same as amount of players from Finland is quite limited. But if all rakeback is cut it will practically increase rake.
I think worrying about it is kinda useless though. Have to just see what reality will be. But for sure it's not good for poker players.
Might be possibility. I would imagine those are sort of tough to track for tax side so could attract illegal activity.
Anyway some profit yesterday. Unfortunately I once again ended up losing clearly biggest pot of the day. Close to 400€ in plo100 table. Did have 72% on turn .
Nice day on Omaha tables today. First session up 500€. Then I fell into "trap" of trying to hit this jackpot 125x on hexapro extreme they have currently running in unibet. Idea is there is this timer that ticks down saying "Time left until jackpot has to hit". I have not tried this extreme version so thought to play some as timer was running down. Well mostly you get just 1x multiplier so winner gets buyin back. I did get two 10x as well but preflop run was very bad in allins and lost both. Plus there was other ones where I get it in somewhat ahead but keep losing. Anyway no jackpot and ended up 200€ down in 10€ bin games.
Well thought to play one more Omaha session then and ended up winning 150-160€ or so which was kinda nice. But yeah probably won't try those extreme hexapros anymore. Also there was 100+ players when timer was running really low so chance of hitting that is probably very small. They have probably made it so that jackpot often hits at last minutes so could be good strategy to try to sit in lot of those at those last minutes.
This was funny one yesterday. Didnt think I would win without improving but... Hand is at least 100bb deep supposed to be 3bet. This villain does open way too wide (even for BU) but also doesnt fold anything pre so decided to just call pre. flop went for x-r.
Got big one down today. I do wonder if opponent play is standard or not as stacks were deep. So BU open, I 3bet from BB, BU 4bet, I 5bet and he calls. Flop was around SPR 1.2. E.g. 100bb deep AJT9ds is definitely fine to 4bet-call. So I guess its still fine even though we were over 300bb deep. Thing is though that I will always have AA for 5bet and this AA combo is actually one of weakest I would even 3bet this deep OOP. But yeah on flop I had 48%.
In the current planning, playing within ETA would be still tax free in poker. The problem is that game providers might ban Finnish players due to new licence and regulation. It might change though, in Finland no decision is made with common sense or logic.

What does that offer mean? Is it enough that you can open an account from Finland on a site that doesn't have a Finnish license?

Thing is I range check flop as I pretty much never have AA with 100bb stacks where as opponent can have most of them. But villain probably thought I have just Ax often as he turns KK into bluff.

So preflop I could 3bet but being around 150bb deep I decided to just call being OOP. I think this is ok with low suit AA75ss. Flop was going for x-c and turn easy value. River was bad but I do have bit of showdown value so tried to get there. Getting flush to fold with river bet is tough anyway. Could happen depending of opponents with pot bet though. After check I face small bet and call. I would say overcall is clearly worst option. I dont mind making like 3/4 pot x-r aiming to get flushes to fold. But on other hand one player is clearly recretional with open limping so I might not get enough flushes to fold plus I dont block the nuts.
But yeah luckily I didnt feel like going for big bluff.
This is sort of interesting combo preflop wise. Solver wise we can call or 3bet but basically what solver slightly prefer is leaning more toward call with A suit and 3bet lower suit version. Idea being with more nuttiness we dont mind getting into multiway pot as much. Opponent interestingly lead pots flop. This is theory wise supposed to be heavily weighted toward some of non premium top two and some draws. Sets usually prefers to check as they need less protection. From my experience this is heavily toward semibluff type hands making my top pair with support pretty strong combo. So I decided to just get it in.

Villain preflop play is fine. Not so sure about flop though. I think hand is too weak to pot-call really. Its not that unlikely to run into combos with better made hand and dominating straight draw which my hand kinda was even if also bottom of my shoving range. In this case he had 36% equity.
This was awesome hand thanks to SB failing to go for back raise 4bet. His call vs open is fine (in general, even more so as BB was spewy player) but he simply has to 4bet over BB squeeze and try to knock out CO and me. I would have been forced to fold. Then he goes for pot lead on flop 4way which is not necessarily bad option with SPR 2 or less.

This was bit annoying to lose as villain hand should be no brainer fold preflop. Instead what happened was I open BU, SB 3bet and I call. Flop he pots so I just call and after turning fd there was no way to fold with SPR 1. Had exactly 50/50 spot on turn.
