Amazing performance by Brazil. Long live Neymar. Unfortunately not enough vs Norway, but nice result.

The penalty miss of Brazil cost them most likely the match. The 2nd penalty Brazil was already in losing position. Neymar isn't so good as like 8 years ago.

They were sensing the style of the opp and gathering data about their attack tactics... A country like Brazil can afford a defeat in cheaper end tournaments such as World Cup. Isnt always worth it to pursuit the max result. I think Norway will absolutely hate their next games.

Norway against England will be a interesting match for sure. At last 8 you can't expect any easy matches anymore.
Still I think Norway has a decent change to win. England isn't playing to well and feels like Norway is more a team than England.

I think Switzerland takes the cake when it comes to expensive countries. Let's see how their game vs Colombia goes in a few minutes.

The Argentina vs Egypt game was crazy, btw. Too bad Egypt didn't make it in the end, I still can't believe they gave it away like that. I think they played quite well all tournament long, it would have been exciting to follow their progress a little more.

Yes I think in the end Messi wasnt interested in that loss and pulled himself together. For few minutes we could experience quite an old fanbase facing complete unknown though... This was all the info I could get, soon professional soccer returned, which I know nothing about.

Who you all think will win the WC final. Spain or Argentina?

I'm hoping for Spain, but from what I've seen Argentina has been amazingly powerful.

I think Spain has 65% chance but would be sick if Messi puts another title to his pocket. Both have their chances imo.

Was a good victory of Spain I think. It was finaly getting exciting after Spain scored the goal in extra time.

Yeah now we have these more local stars that people wanted, Olmo, Yamal, Oyerzabal... Was too tough for the defending champion Argentina. Will see about other leagues... Maybe in 2030 I will have that $1000 to place $1 bets on teams like Spain in the next World Cup.

We will see. First qualifications for it and maybe even with 64 teams next time.

At jupiter we can't play. Most likely heavier gravity and atmosphere is bad.

When I organize these type of tournaments (Fifa - the Federation of soccer), I usually let the kids dictate the tempo, the time, most of the rules, and 50% of the skill level of the opponent (me). I sometimes quit after 1,5hours instead of playing 2hours, especially when they start to fool around earlier (signs of boredom etc).

The League of the Nations (World Cup) is a different beast though. I think they barely managed to pull of the gigantic tournament this time, but it succeeded. Looks like they (FIFA) simply don't have anything else than soccer skills _thumbsup: When the bands gave the concert, everyone like left after the concert and ignored that weird type of sports ball game.. But well done! Well done USA!

As I said, I am currently recovering from the hangover of this tournament party, so not yet able to dictate the next one. I hear it is in London? Doesn't matter much. I am actually positively surprised by the skill level of local port towns in soccer (Tallinn, Amsterdam, London). I would keep it small but the crowd could again demand a big one like 1 year before the start so they need to take that impossible risk I'm afraid...

As I said, it isn't important that tournament but there are fans who demand those.

FiFa is only for soccer I think. Not sure I would like another increase of the WC to 64 teams. Than the poule phase will be more boring with more weaker countries in it.
