You can see I was at 0.5/1 once which requires $300. At the highest point I had $360 but I had to move back down to 0.25/0.5 with $280. I don't think it's tilt or bad BRM, just lack of skills.
The BB graph is much better (♦):
That's all for whining. Less than 4 months ago I deposited $30, and now it's:

You're right, the BB graph really does look much better than the $ graph. I'm going through a similar experience, actually. My decision was to apply more conservative BRM. I'm going to wait for 30-50% more BB's before I move up to the next limit... just because it's an ego-killer having to move down

I dont think it's lack of skill that caused you to move down a limit. Im pretty sure your game is solid (yo can always improve it, obviously), you just hit a run of bad cards against bad players, and it happens sometimes :).
The play in 0.5/1 is about the same level as 0.25/0.5, so if you beat the first, you can take on the 2nd. Just a matter of time.

I think you missed the point of the article, it says that you should always strive to improve your game and criticize your play to maximize your edge.
Downswings can happen, you can play a hand perfectly and either get sucked out on or run into a better hand. This process can reoccur often, and there you have it, a downswing. You cant really do much about it, just analyze your game and make sure you in fact played it well. The article says "if you lost 100 BBs, maybe something is wrong with your game", not "if you lost 100 BBs you must be doing something wrong".
It's good you want to improve, but dont underestimate your skills. I think confidence in your game is also good, not in an "i know best" kind of way, but knowing you basically play better than most players at your limit to me at least is comforting and gets me through the suckouts. Im not saying never doubt your decisions, you should always review your play. And who knows? maybe other players will lose 200 BBs when you only lost 100, you cant really tell.

Tried a 9-man satellite to FTOPS warm-up, managed to quickly triple up with KK. After that it was soon 4-handed. Key hand:

I play FL 0.25/0.5 at full tilt and now trying at stars with 1st deposit bonus, cause there is no good bonus at full tilt now and there is more tables at stars

You certainly overplayed your aces. Why do you check/3-bet flop? Bet it out. On the turn and river check/call, but fold to raise (he capped the flop in multiway pot, I'd put him on trips or at least two pair). Badly played. The river 3-bet is awful, I would fold that river to raise.
Well, I did great today, won over 60 BB with 519 hands (11.5 BB/100). Met some donks who just wanted to give their money to me ♦.

Hi again, my BR is now $300.84, but I decided to move up to $0.5/$1 when I have $325. When I fall below $300, I'll move back. I don't think I can handle these wild swings and therefore need more conservative bankroll management.
As I have written in my blog, last time I moved to $0.5/$1 I quickly built myself a bankroll of $360, but then fell to $275, moved down a limit, but the downswing continued until I had only $220 left. I hope I learned a lot from this.

Hmmm... I think I will try to beat $0.5/$1 FR first, then switch to SH. I don't think I'm good enough for SH yet, it's sure harder to play. What are your experiences? Is SH that much harder to beat?
To tell you the truth I can't really compare the two, because the same time I climbed up the limits I also switched to SH, because there were no FR tables on that limits on Pacific.
I'd say it requires more adjustment to players and game is way more aggresive than in FR, but it works for me, so playing solid FL I think you should do just fine there.
Oh, wait, you play on FTP!?! Nah, no need to come to SH. ♦
