Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:

Play hand

$0.1/$0.2 Fixed-Limit Hold'em (10 handed)

Preflop: Hero is BU with A:s, A:h.
UTG calls, 6 folds, Hero raises, 2 folds, UTG calls.

Flop: (5.5 SB) 4:d, 7:s, 2:h (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets, UTG calls.

Turn: (3.75 BB) T:h (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets, UTG calls.

River: (5.75 BB) A:c (2 players)
UTG bets, Hero raises, UTG 3-Bets, Hero caps, UTG calls.

After his donk bet on the river, i put him on two pair (Ax hand). I also thought that he put me on a big ace hand. I totaly misread him, and really wasn't expecting that he can hold a hand like that.

Should i be less aggressive at the river, or this was just a lose money situation?

Thanks.

Final Pot: 13.75 BB.
Results follow:

UTG shows a straight, five high(3:s 5:s).
Hero shows three of a kind, aces(A:s A:h).

UTG wins with a straight, five high(3:s 5:s).

Well considering you had the second nuts and his holding is ridiculously unlikely, it is an easy capping situation, this looks more like a slow played set/two pair than anything. I suppose the other likely holdings would maybe be AT or AJ.

Hi!

I think he will 3-bet most 2 pairs, lower slowplayed sets and ofcourse 3 5.Against this range you only need 50% (as he cant 5-bet) so easy cap for me.
