Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:

Play hand

$1/$2 Fixed-Limit Hold'em (6 handed)

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with A:h, K:c.
Hero raises, 4 folds, BB calls.

Flop: (4.5 SB) 6:h, 6:s, J:h (2 players)
BB bets, Hero calls.

Turn: (3.25 BB) Q:c (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, BB calls.

River: (5.25 BB) 7:s (2 players)
BB checks, Hero ?

Villain stats: 35/21/1.1/45, 3,8k hands

Why would he donk the flop with Ax or Kx? I put him on low pocket pair mostly and therefore check behind the river.

Giving the low AF it is a good check behind. You will see very often a pocket pair here. Nothing you can do really. He won't fold it and he will rarely raise Ax hands on the flop.

Hey,
Why not FD also, or just any two, cause some people just tend to donkb on paired boards a lot.

Low AF 1.1 and the big samplesize 3800 hands. Even if he has FD or any two I don't see him calling here. Still I think he won't play them aggressively.

U need to check stats, people are really weird. His aggr on flop can be 14 and on other sreets its 0,1 0,1 and voila it is 1,1 or stg like that. And i defenitely check his donkbet % like i sayed earlier and then i make my decision. ( i started to watch FL again, soon i am back where i was _cool::)

Please ignore: idiot reasoning in progress.

Will he call K high here? Kx FD's are the only hand that looks reasonable that we beat that might call.

Theory check... he needs to call with a worse hand 50% of the time to make the bet correct - correct?

So villian calls pp's 22 - 55, maybe 88 (although looks like he 3bets this pre?) and maybe Jx hands villian plays wa/wb plus if villian slow plays monsters or hit with 77 for River C/R v bstd K2-K5s, K8/K9s or a random weak Ax hand.

Meh, check behind.

Am i the only one checking behind the turn?
It looks to me more as a defensive check then a C/F spot since he will barrel his air alot i think here and this guy isnt folding a pair ever. And also i dont wanna get C/R here since i cant fold and my equity vs his turn C/R isnt probably best.

Also by checking behind the turn and calling on river i dont really risk folding a better hand if he goes crazy with FLD or some random air.

I would actually raise flop and c turn UI for free card and fold river UN ;). Earlier i was just talking about ranges :f_biggrin:. And gape how ur trip went and come to skye anyway .

Hi!

Nice discussion:)keep it up

My play against this guy is calldown when he donks flop.He is very agressive and have high WTSD so we still have decent equity against him.

I dont like flop raise and is generally not the best play in these spots. When you raise and check behind on the turn you do it for a freecard( you assume you are behind) But as said this guy will have many worse hands(FDs,Ax,complete air) where our equity is very good and I would not assume we are behind on the flop. Therefore raising for a freecard is pointless, so are we raising flop for value(assuming we are ahead). If so there is no point in checking behind on the turn and we should make another vb(and protection bet also). But now there comes a question (are we favourites), when you answer yes I dont mind raising and cbetting turn. But here I think it very close and answer is probably no.

So... just flop call and reevaluate on the turn

Turn is an interesting situation and would like to remind that when you bet,you dont mind him folding his 6outers(even if 78) since he is making a mathematical mistake when doing so.
But...I think when he has airball he will very often bluff again on this card and I would assume his turn check to be quiteSD bound with a hand that is most of the time better than ours(targeting Jx) In addition you block many outs and may induce another bluff on the river... check fo me

River I would see a freeSD and take a not of his play.I see him having many low pockets(even Jx) and I see valubetting too thin.

Also... your hand sample is quite small where AF and WTSD can change big time

PS: to b/f river(assuming he will not bluff) you need 50% against his call+raising range!

to b/c you need up to 66%(when you assume he will only raise complete air or a better hand)
