nice hand well played.

you can never fold a hand as strong as 88. You already have 800 chips invested in the BB and less than 2BB behind.

a good way to analyze these hands is to look at the pot odds.

the pot is 2000 with the blinds + the limp. you have to call 1315 to win 3315 (including your opponent's raise = your effective stack size). You are getting almost 3:1!

you can make this call with ANY TWO CARDS!, especially if you think UTG will fold a lot after limping.
