Hi All
Some of you may recall my Blog called "Bryans rise to fame". Well that has been supersedd now by my new blog called "Bryans fresh start". Check it out on a regular basis to see how I fare second time around as it were.
In this blog here, I will be talking about my experiences in a local live tourney.
I live in Nottingham, England, UK which is home to one of the best poker rooms in Europe, called Dusk til Dawn. I have decided, for as long as I can afford it, I will play there once a week, on a wednesday night, in the £25 freezeout, and talk here about my experiences.
DTD publish the results of the tourneys on their website, so, for better or worse, my name will appear on the internet, each week I enter, for all to see. My name is Bryan Shipley, if you want to check me out. I realise I am leaving myself open to ridicule, but I am sure you guys will be supportive !
I have played for the last 4 weeks, and haven't yet cashed, though I have made it to the last couple of tables.
There is a lot of luck in tourneys, especially with only 3000 starting chips and 25 min blinds. We all know here, how easy it is to go a long time without cashing, so I have no idea when or how much I will win, even in say a year. So I will not get too results oriented. Rather, I will try to relate my experiences. Though of course, If I do cash I will be sure to harp on about it a bit Ha Ha.
So far the typical field seems to be about 60 or so entrants, and, without looking it up, I think about 15th is my best so far. I have final tabled at other casinos in the past, so I know I can do it, if things go my way enough.
Anyway, hope some of you check the blog out.
I hope to play again tomorrow night. It has a 7:45 pm start time, GMT of course.
All the best
Bryan
