For me it looks like poker is the hard way of making easy money as they say. Playing for a living has a sick list of disadvantages, but it's clearly better then a shitty job in a shitty country (i hate italian people for loving their country so much ).

If i would ever try to see how "professional poker" looks like, i would be hyper-cautios, like 300-500 BI bankroll, a few $k set aside (maybe buy bonds), also trade forex/stock market, have a small business. Almost all of them have variable income, and diversification may reduce the swings in my mind.

And I don't see it as a dream job. I am confident any poker player can make 2k/month, and SOME (no talent, feel, whatever, just a LOT of study) 4k. You can figure it up for higher..
