4.25:1 pot odds on flop, /w 22% equity minimum I think. I very nearly folded, but I think its a correct call, so I just grinded my teeth and did so. thoughts?

would 3betting to 8k pre make much difference? I doubt it

I think your preflop raise is too small. You should make it around 9k I think maybe even 10k. If you make it bigger at least you avoid calls from behind.
As played I think you should fold flop when it comes back to you. I know it is hard getting those odds (not sure I would) but I think it is correct to fold because most of the times you are up against a set or a made straight or 2pair so your equity is very low actually and the other one could have a big draw.
If you really think he is calling very wide you can always raise bigger preflop and push the flop.

if the bigstack is calling that wide then raise bigger to get him commited on most flops. something around 9-Tk , I don't see the point of minraising that drawy board also.

raise bigger -> push flop -> take maney

I prefer to call the flop and see what happend ... if u just call, u still can fold ur hand
if SB pushs and UTG calls ... u have easy fold
