Aaaaaand the shitty day continued....Another 1k hands and 3 stacks down. Didn't tilt a second this time, just kept playing to see how long can they keep hitting their gin cards...♦

Oh well, guess last week was just a donk on a heater...this is reality all over again ♦ Good thing is I'm going to visit my gf for the weekend so not gonna be playing much, just a little to get that fast 25$ and it shouldn't take more than a couple of mins daily

Back home, gonna play a bit today. Probably just a short session to warm up, maybe grind a bit in the evening if I don't fall asleep. A bit tired from the train, was an all night trip.

Weekend was great, played just enough so i finish that 25$ promo on full tilt. So now back to some more volume.

Decided to take a week of play without checking any graphs/results at all, only hand reviewing. But need to find a way to mark hands for easier searching. If I sort them afterward I'll see how the session went.

So yeah...not looking at my $$ progress disn't work, whenever I go to review a session I manage to notice how everything went. But at least one good thing came from trying. I'm not looking at HEM/cashier during a session and it really helps me focus a lot more. Let's keep on doing that. Baby steps

Didn't feel like playing cash games yesterday so fired up one rush MTT, deepstack, 6min lvls and managed to almost run deep ♦ Had above average stack and los 99 vs 35o for 88th place out of 1300 or so ppl. Not that bad but I felt I could've done more

Gonna play a few sessions today, got a day without any obligations so poker and having fun is on the menu

Played a bit today, not really that much but 1.3k hands is better than nothing Think I did quite well, but was running a bit hot I must admit. It's nice to see that happening sometimes

It's friday so time to go out and have some fun.

Hmmmmm, one of the biggest leaks that is slowing me down atm must be calling those river bets too light even when I'm 100% sure that I'm beat. Not talking about those cooler types of situations where you would do everything same over and over again.

I'm still having trouble talking myself into calling or making a move on someone when I'm positive they have nuts or sth close. Need to stop doing that cause it's costing me a lot of profit.

One river bet that goes the wrong way negates a couple of those smaller pots you fought for before. It's plain simple stupid and I need to engrave that in my brain ASAP....

Last 2 days were nice. Had lots of time for poker so played about 7k hands in 2 sessions. Pretty ok for my avg play time I must say. Played okish I'll say, can't say excellent because i wouldn't be playing nl10 still if it was excellent ♦

Anyway, would be a really profitable time if I didn't spew some $$ on stupid river calls and if it weren't for ppl always outhitting and outkicking me. I had like 4 hands where i flopped a set, c/r flop and stacked off on the turn where their overpair would make a set. So I finished around 2BIs in the red. Oh well, it can happen both ways is what I always say to myself.

I'm really glad I manage to control tilt most of the time and even if I cant control it I quickly realize it and then stop playing for a while. Going nice so far, one thing at a time. Need to work on my leaks more...gonna devote a day to browsing through HEM and those filters. Should be a good way to find out where I'm losing the most.

1.2k hands, 5 stacks down...so pissed off atm. These last 5k hands are just incredible, always running into top of villains range, just spewed 3 stacks cause i didn't stop playing in time and that pisses me even more, stacked off 2 times with an overpair on the board deepstacked when i knew I was behind....god damn.

It's still amazing how it works though....you have to work hard and be reasonable and slowly take it to the top but like everything else you can always lose it all by making one stupid move. That's why I like poker I guess.

Haha, thanks man. I'm not giving up. That one is for sure. Plus, it's not just a downswing if it's a downswing at all ♦ That's a lot of bad play in there and we all know it. So drop all goals, maniac grinding and everything and use more time to review, watch videos, read articles and just improve improve improve. And then play, but no mass multitabling, just play a couple of tables and give yourself time to think about your moves and why are you doing them.

Just crossed my mind this morning...why should I rush up the limits? Why play and wait for a heater to get you to a higher limit and then face something that I already know? Why not just play my current limit until I'm positive I'm a winning player. I mean, nothing is running away, those limits will still be there. Be it in a week, a month or 2 months. If i work to be good enough here I can work hard when I move up too. So to sum it up.

Started posting some hands in the hand evaluation forum. Something I didn't do so far. Just used to browse through it and read read read. That's a great thing to do, don't get me wrong...open up all the threads that work for you and try to judge them yourself. Then go and see what the judges said. But posting hands you were in and writing your opinion down is a must actually. More hand-posting from now on deffo.

Well, downswing or not, I still like to think it's mostly my fault. It keeps me motivated to play better and study more, so I do that...Last week I spent a lot working on my play from the blinds. Need to get those numbers up, losing too much from those positions. So trying some new stuff out.

So far it looks ok, also trying out new spots to barrel and float. My nonsd line is breakeven again for the last 10k hands. We'll se how will it go from now on. Maybe it's just variance

Want to crush nl10 in the next two weeks, I'm working on it and I'm trying to improve even more. I have the bankroll to shoot at nl25 but I'm gonna wait until I'm sure I can crush nl10 with my eyes closed. And it's gonna happen.

Now I'm off, have some more poker videos I want to check out.

Shittiest session of my life.........7BI down in 1k hands. And I was stupid enough to stack off with top 2 pair 200bb deep. That's what I get for not looking at villains stacksize....fml...idiot....

God I'm so mad at myself now. That last move really pissed me off, especially in combination with all other shit that happened in the session. I.e: flopped straight that went AI against top pair that gets a runner runner FH, 3x hit a FH with my pp that manages to lose to a rivered higher FH, trips with 2nd kicker and of course he has trips with top kicker...
Every preflop all in lost....QQ vs 44, ran kings into aces twice....flips all went to other guys. I almost felt like crying ♦

I just disgusts me how a week of hard work can go down the drain in like 2 hours or less. It can get hard, no wait, it WILL get hard but those who dust it off and fight through emerge victorious. At least I hope so.

One other thing, typing here really helps to release some off the tension...I used to think about my bad sessions for hours after their end. But coming here and reading about crap happening to other people helps me, typing down all what happened to me helps me too

Reading about guys having great runs and makes me feel warm inside cause I know that swings go both ways...We just need to work on our game so our downswings become smaller than our upswings

Didn't put that much volume in last few days. Had some Rl stuff to worry about so just played few sets of those rush sng's. I really enjoy playing them. Cashed 1 2nd for 270$ so not that bad. Had 2 stupid calls on the bubble where I could've folded easily event though my hand was strong and didn't hold so busted 2 times around the bubble in a hand for a chip lead.

Will probably play some more of those today and then it's back to cash games. A little break from the usual routine always does me good so we'll see how things are standing in the next few days regarding my cash game play

Greetings fellow pokerstrategists!

So I'm about to hit 100k hands soon since my rush "career" started. Time for a big HEM review, gonna sit down one afternoon and do some filtering, maybe tweak my ranges a bit, move out those non profitable opening hands, dive into 3b pots a bit more and stuff like that. 100k hands should be a good enough sample for a bunch of situations that happen and are flawed in my game.

My non sd line is be again for the last 15k hands and that's an improvement. But I'm still facing problems with my river play. Guess that's my achilles heel. Once I plug that leak there should be no problem with crushing nl10 and moving to nl25 for a new journey

I'm still a break even player so far but have a really positive mindset and I'm determined to make it in rush. Really enjoy the fact that swings, suckouts, setups and my bad plays stopped affecting me while playing. That is probably the biggest improvement for me in the last 2 months.

So I'm still setting no goals for myself. I like it that way. No pressure, this is not my full time job and my income source. It still is just a really fun game I enjoy playing and am trying to be(come) better than average.

Ok, maybe I lied a bit about having no goals. Here's one:

Determination and willingness to study and improve! I feel like I'm already there but can't hurt to work on my game even more

All in all, guess I plugged two of my big problems...tilted playing and the playing > studying part. Next step, here I come!
