I decided to post up the series of hands to give a better context

Hand 1 *BU just doubled up.

WTF limp? Monster? I was considering shoving but i have no fold equity. I was praying for them to bust each other out so i got out of the way.

so STR wins the hand and picks up a ton of chips, JRB gave up in the middle.

Looks like a huge tilt shove from PCP here.

Anyway we got lucky and survived it.

Questions

1. Hand 1, can we do anything but fold here?
2. What do you think of STR's play? pure donkey or pure genius? I think the other 3 of us just had absolutely no idea how to adapt besides playing passively.

You should post the limit of the tournament as well as to give better general insight about the hand.

What does JRB, PCP and STR mean?

1.) check Pre, shove Flop - nice spot for a stop'n'go.
2.) I dont think you can judge his play so easily. Maybe he was just lucky and he really had a hand all the time or none of you guys had a hand in any of the above 3 hands, so it doesn't mean that his play was working. In fact I really hate his limps there because he is just giving the players a chance to see the flop for free, while he is still completely committed, so no added benefit (except for maybe the confusion he generated).

I'd probably push hand 1 unless he never limps. I think we're ahead most of the time and against our direct oponent.

BUT, I don't think your line is bad. After his limp, if he loses the hand, he blinds out first.
If he wins the hand, than we're in bad shape.

So I think Push > Fold

We are in the SB tho, complete you mean? That's 20% of my stack tho and the big stack can still push and i'd have to call.

i haven't seen him limp to suggest he is doing it with trash. I'm not so confident we were ahead there. We have 0 fold equity and he limp in with more than a quarter of his stack. seemed kinda strong then.

I missed that we are in the SB so stop and go isn't that great 3-way then. Then I would prefer a shove as well.

I'm still unconvinced about shoving pre tho. But we are getting great odds. If hand 1 was in hand 2 (with him limping the second time, i would def. shove, but i had no reads that its not a trap and i decided to take the safer route.

BTW, can someone explain to me how i can use the Wiz to look at the graph for the B/E point?

I'm asusming he just pushed for simplicity's sake.

I get diff graphs when i set his range to a diff value.

i like your line on all hands,

hand 1 is the most interesting. but i think folding and hoping the BTn gets knocked out is better + tehre is a pretty high chance he is trapping if this is his first limp imo.

rest of the hands are well played.
