Known players:
[tg]UTG1$3,04:///////;Hero$7,19:///////;[/tg]
0,02/0,05 No-Limit Hold'em (9 handed)
Hand recorder used for this poker hand: Elephant 0.90 by www.pokerstrategy.com.

Preflop: Hero is UTG2 with A♠, A♦
UTG1 raises to $0,10, Hero raises to $0,35, 7 folds, UTG1 calls $0,25.

Flop: ($0,77) 7♥, 4♥, 2♥ (2 players)
UTG1 checks, Hero bets $0,65, UTG1 folds, Hero gets uncalled bet back.

Final Pot: $0,77

Can you make a continuation bet like this on this flop with your AA? Strategy says not to do it on this kind of flop, so do you give up your AA immediatly without a fight? Or do you do like I did here and fold to a raise?

Hello brazyd,

Could you point out which strategy does say not to CBet such board? We have to protect and get value from any kind of draw or maybe even from weaker PPs. Also it depends on the raise what opponent is doing, sometimes you might even go broke here, depending on the opponent. Since he is mid-stack you can even consider going broke. Well played.

Best regards.

Thanks for your comment!

I rechecked the strategy article, I was confusing with another situation. Thanks for pointing that out!
