I like the small river bet. He calls with worse hands because it's small, and he probably just calls with trips. Obviously fold if he raises.
Checking is not so great because he's checking behind worse hands, and value betting better hands, which you would want to call. So the bet gives you much more information, and you probably lose less against trips...

In relation to the other hand I posted, AQ on QJJxx bd ( nl100 Rush - AQ - tptk vs fish ), can you help me understand the difference between betsizing in the two hands.

i.e. in this hand, when i bet just 2/5pz, dont I have to worry that villain will bluff raise me?

Is it different because the draw (i.e. flush draw) already hit, so there are no missed draws that he can have?

well I see this board as much more scary than the other one. I think you're going to be called by a lot less, and hardly ever bluff raised on this limit.. or at least you'll hardly ever be ahead if he raises when he shouldn't (like with trips).. but there is definitely some thin value with other aces that you can get from a small bet...

As Wildbeans said, since the FD got there the board is a lot more scary.
Therefore in this hand his raisingrange should be stronger because he has to assume the flush is part of our range as well.

So to sum it up: I like the small bet as well.

Yes.
The only reason for him to raise it would be if he thinks we're folding better flushes (unlikely imo).
