c/c flop imo. your only other option is bet/fold and give up turn. which is way too weak against aggressive opponents who will bluff with way worse when you show 'weakness' by checking.

i have no problems c/c down smallish bets with A8 high against spewtards like this

I think you still can shove turn. He really should not have 3,4,5 in his range expect for A5-A3 which he might raise preflop as well. Shove also gets value from 6x and heart draws. I'm not really worried about him having better A either since he would likely raise them preflop. This is kinda tricky since I don't know if he floats anything or not. If he doesn't you obviously can't shove.

If he had raised the flop I would have called.

I also think you can check the flop, although you can check-raise it too.

Perhaps you can limp/shove this preflop vs this guy?

I prefer shoving over raising pre. It's unexploitable and A8o is imo a difficult hand to play postflop.

If he is so aggressive I would complete/shove pre.

After raising I would try to C/R this board.

As played I agree with Anssi, if he is so aggressive he shouldn't have many better hands in his range (like pairs or better Ax) and I don't think he is hitting the board as often, as he is floating here. + we have some outs
