Yeah OZSA, I know that one.
I play BSS occasionally and am more and more directed towards it.
There are so many more things under your control there and your stack size has much more fold equity than 20bb.
Last night I had mind blowing session on nl50, which costs me 8BI and only one good thing came out of it, was me knowing I played good.
I asked myself a question this morning, why I play SSS?

And the only answer that I could thing of is, that its the only way I know I can make profit, and that I tihnk its the fastest generate of money in poker.
Not sure that any of those are correct anyways.

NoEmotion : Yes man, am gonna play it, but on nl10 mostly.
I think thats right limit for my BR and also for my current knowledge about BSS SH game.

Am taking more aggressive and proactive approach to this whole poker thing.
Am gonna write about it later today, when I finnish reading the book and writing down my goals.

Cya

I have important update to make.
Today I played my last SSS session and from this day on am gonna focus all of my efforts on improving my BSS game...Short-handed more precisely .
IT was a hell of a journey, good and bad, but now is time to dig in other waters and try my skills there.
I got myself a nice deal with BetFred( Ipoker network), where I will receive of 55% rakeback from them, so the plan is to cash in tomorrow and start grinding in new month as soon as possible.

I feel very excited about this but at the same moment little bit scared too.
Its a good and positive feeling of being afraid of unknown, similar one when u go in the ring to fight.
You are excited about a fight, u know you are capable of beating your opponent, but at same time u also know u are gonna receive punches too, there will be pain and blood , but at the end there are moments of glory waiting.... for a man who wants it more .

Cya tomorrow with goals for this month.

All the best

Hi guys,thx for support.

Here is the plan for my new BSS expedition :

Since I dont know much about BSS anyway for this first month am gonna devote 50% of my time studying and remaining 50% to play.
In hours that should be like 3hs of each daily.
Am gonna study in the morning and play and review session later in the evening, time in between will be spent on activates besides poker.

Studying will consist of watching videos ( pokerstrategy videos, cardrunners crushing the micros series), reading articles (from pokerstrategy again) and reading books.

I will watch only 1 video/day and will make notes on everything I study and try to implement them in my game on playing sessions.

As playing is concerned, am gonna start at nl10, one or two tables at most, play 2k hands/ day and use HEM.

After every session I will try to overview my play and post some hands on evaluation forums for judging.

I will try to upload my blog as frequent as possible and equip it with my thoughts, track my study and playing improvements.
I will probably put some interesting stuff from my day to day activites to make things more interesting.

Wow I put a shitload of work on my shoulders, this should be fun.

Stay tuned

Some updates.

I ve lost 10bi already on nl10 BSS and this betfred really sucks.
Got that feeling, that I just cannot win a big hand.
Whatever I have preflop or flop, they seem to crush me to river.
Am really sorry, I dont have the hand, where I lost 350bb with quads against better quads.
Dot like BetFred at all.
Their sofware is really slow(hardly to play more than 4 tables), ugly(havent succeed in findng and mods for it yet), and filters sucks(u cant choose pracitcular limit to show u tables, confusing settings etc), and really low hands/hour, not to mention poor players pool, here and there some fish(including me),but mostly nitty players swing around.
They also gave me some first deposit bonus, but I have to earn like zillion points for it .
To be more precise 10500 points and so far I ve earned like 85,so still tons to go.
Going broke before get any of that is not excluded option.

So plan is to go away as soon as possible..Maybe partyPoker ?(

Some thouhts about BSS!

I dont have much confidence in my play to be honest, since I havent ended a session in green so far.
Gots tons of bad beats made few bad calls and some tilt play.
So I pretty much think I suck, maybe even more than I actually do, but thats better than thinking the oposite imo.

I put myself in even harder situation, when I had to deposit 400$ from my 700$ roll, and thinkin 300 will be enough for nl10.
Now with those lossess am pretty much at point where I think I should drop to nl5 or even lower and grind grind grind.
Getting someone to stake me here is not even an option...not with this play and this state of mind.

Ok let me post some hands and graph and go away :

Nice showdown winnings aint it :)

My game is far from perfect for sure, but tbh with luck like that am afraid to even sit at tables and play with a monster.

One thing I did learend thru this shit is that slowplaying is a bitch and as it seems that ipoker network itself punishes you for that.

Going to read Verneers microstakes book today and try to learn something from it.

Cheers and see ya soon.

hey ,
Was reading a bit your blog out of curiosity, gl with BSS.
Just one question about the above quote, how did you get such a good RB deal? I guess it is not standart rakeback?

Cheers

Looks like RB deal doesn't make up for lack of volume and bad software...

BSS can be a bitch but you can also make it your bitch ;)

@ Dublimax

Hey man!
Yeah I got it thru friend of mine and thru some other guy ...so only thing I can ask is that buddy about more details and let u know if its possible if u are interested into it.

@Emanuel

Am workin on it to become my bitch, I know it will be hard to master it, but eventually I can get there for sure.

Unfortunatley you are correct about RB.
Those leaks takes most of pleasure from playing.
Imagine that your comupter becomes really really slow when u have 4 tables opened and HEM.
Am gonna try to play some more here and see at least if my luck will turn around + playing 2 tables so its barable so far, but its ugly and I dont recommend it at all.

ITS STUDY TIME

It doesnt take much more thann rough gimps thru my upper post to see that am HUUUGE fish at this BSS game, so I decided to do something about it IMMEDIATELY!

I could watch videos but I think starting at the beginning and set proper foundation will turn things in other directions.
A friend of mine offered me to print few poker books on her laser printer, few weeks ago, and today she brought them to me - just in time :).

Moving thru micros in 2010 by Verneere
The PokerBluprint
The PokerMindset
Easy Game 1&2

So I decided to start with verneers, define my opening ranges and stick to them for start.
My preflop game was very sloppy, not to mention my 3bet wide range, and I wasnt even aware of my opponents and how to make right adjustments in my preflop game.

I do realise that poker isnt a novel and by reading the book from begining to the end I wont get much, so I dont know yet how should I proceed to achieve maximal efficiency , but I think getting a step at the time should be good for start.
And its time for preflop and some stats understanding.

Goin back to work Cheers

Damn, this is just going nowhere!
Cant win SD at stupid betfred if my life depend on it.
I just played like 2h and again lost all hands where I was AI despite the fact that I was waay ahead at the moment of AI.
I ve been studied this days and notice improvements in my game.
Am much more aware of my openents and reading their plaiyng habits thru stats.
Much more aware of position .
Still lot to learn, but this luck...man its killing my confidence big time.
I think I should read The poker mindset again to improve my mindset, otherwise I will go nuts.
Tomorrow am expecting a first package of my weekly rakeback and hopefully that will be satisfying enough to compensate for my loseses here.

Auto top up or rebuy to 100bb yourself if the software doesn't have this option.

_Anonymous_ Topic starter
_Anonymous_

Thx for reminding me of that and no..... software doesnt have it :)

edit: Sorry to missinform you, software DOES have autotop function-yay :)
table scan turbo solves most of filter problems and deals nice with table selection, I still havent figured out where to find table mods, which would make things much more "eatable" than it is .

Cheers
