I 3bet because he had stole a fair bit, and I felt KQ strong enough post flop to do it.

But, should I have raised him on that river? I suppose my line of thinking was a bit off really;
Unlikely to have an 8, or he's hit quads, and 87/89 is out of the question here (tight player overall - 16/9/1).
Thankfully he didn't shove or raise on the river and I didn't go broke...
