Villain is standard nitty TAG for this level :) vpip 80 pfr 12 3bet 5.0 af 2.5 90 hands only.

Don't know a lot about villain but I think it's easy fold here? I have 140bb behind so don't like stacking off TPTK v donk shove on drawy board.

I was bad in this one. Lost my plan.

villain; vpip 15 pfr 0 3bet 0 steal/resteal 0 af 1.5 hands 485

I'm assuming with that af he'd bet if hits?
So to bet postflop or not and when? cbet? delayed cbet?

Given stacks I'm not sure the raise was good anyway given my passive postflop play.

MP2 shows three of a kind, jacks(T:d J:d).

MP2 wins with three of a kind, jacks(T:d J:d).

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I like the call on the flop.

Turn check raise: after he bets flop and turn. I can put him on the range of ATs-AKs, AJo-AKo. Some of the AK hands he will 3bet preflop, lower probability. As well, I can put him on loads of flush draws with JXs type of hands and some straight draws.

Opting for check raise, for him to call with his Ace type of hands and fold on the river bet facing bigger bet. Catching flush draw betting less and inducing him to call with his Aces.

As well as was thinking of JXs type of hands which would call the river bet as well. However, he could have 4betted me with JXs on the turn and then I will have to fold.

Once I check raised on the turn. I had to follow with my story.

What is your judgement of this play? I think I prefer calling on the turn and betting the river on my flush, but then facing his check raise would be a hard fold/call.

Hello Wyxis ,

Preflop: While being a bit deeper, calling is totally fine.
Flop: I would likely as well rather Call it here, we can't be sure that we even making him to fold some TP type of hand here anyways and of course we don't want to face a 3bet.
Turn: Although I don't like the raise at all here, there is not much you can represent here. Most likely we would rather just fold here than continue at all. You practically can be already drawing dead which is sometimes the case even.

As played
River: Doesn't really make sense to bet anymore, you don't make him fold anyways. He is likely going to continue with his Ax here anyways. And of course even if you want to make to fold some TP type of hand then it definitely has to be bigger bet. Just Check behind and give it up, you likely wont have much fold equity.

Best regards.

Thanks a lot.

When I look at it again I can easily see a fold on the turn. However, having an aggressive history with him, I would go with a call sometimes as we are quite deep.

By the way, I keep having a problem as you outlined as well "there is not much you can represent here". I keep thinking about other guys ranges rather than what I actually represent. Any advice on that part? How did you develop it?

Thanks a lot

Everything comes with time and of course practice and reviewing your hands, posting them, watching videos. Having faith in yourself and wanting to become better. :)
