Playing scared no more
Hi guys,
I chatted with Titan online support and apparently the first deposit bonus is 100% up to $500, meaning I deposit $500 and can clear $500 in $5 segments for each 600 points I acumulate. Now I just need a credit card that allows gambling. No rush, since I'm sure it will be cleared way faster if I'm on NL100; on NL50 I will be under a lot of pressure because I don't play tons of hands per day.
In case you're wondering how I've been doing at NL50, the answer is not too good. My BB/100 went from like 8.50 to about 3.50. I tried tightening up and playing ABC but it didn't work, so I'm trying something different: loosening up in position and also mixing up my play a bit, such as raising 4BB utg with 44, 89s type hands on a FR table. If theres aggro players in CO/BU, I sometimes limp AA utg too, with pretty good results up till now.
I will stop playing like a robot and do things they(regs) dont expect and actually have some fun with bluffs from time to time. I will take PS strats with a pinch of salt and my "gut feeling" will play a bigger role now.
Recently, I noticed that I was getting negative thoughts whenever I considered playing online, and thought to myself: "this isnt logical". Why do I feel bad when I know I will have to play session? Why should I dread seeing the same regs every day? Aren't they dreading seeing me too? Why am I scared of playing the maniacs? Are they better players than me? Why does the great feeling of winning seem like ancient history?
So I told myself that they should be scared of me, not the other way around. I shouldn't be worrying about them stacking me, they should tremble at the thought of me stacking them! I CAN and I WILL stack them whenever I can!
Someone posted on the forum that poker isnt about winning, its about not losing, well I don't agree! I must strive to win each hand whenever possible! Fuck playing scared and worrying about losing!
So my new mindset to playing online is cliche but its like a shark being released into a fish tank, I will observe them, identify each one's moves and snap them up without them knowing what happened!
oops...got a bit carried away there...but you get the point
