SnG-MTT $ 1.00 (10 Players)
50/100 No-Limit Hold'em (8 Players)
Hand recorder used for this poker hand: PokerStrategy.com Elephant 0.105.40920.2 by www.pokerstrategy.com

Preflop: Hero is BB with A :spade:, K :diamond:
UTG3 folds, MP1 calls, MP2 calls, MP3 folds, CO calls, BU calls, SB calls,
Hero raises 600 to 700, 3 fold, BU calls, SB folds

Flop: (1800) 8 :spade:, 4 :club:, 2 :diamond: (2 Players)
Hero bets 1260 ( (AI)), BU calls ( (AI))

Turn: (4025) 6 :club: (2 Players)

River: (4025) 5 :club: (2 Players)

Final Pot: 4025

Results follow (Highlight to see):
Hero shows high card ace (As, Kd) --> (As, Kd, 8s, 6c, 5c)
BU shows a pair of jacks (Jh, Jc) --> (Jh, Jc, 8s, 6c, 5c)

Hero wins 295 with high card ace (As, Kd) --> (As, Kd, 8s, 6c, 5c)
BU wins 3730 with a pair of jacks (Jh, Jc) --> (Jh, Jc, 8s, 6c, 5c)

What kind of hands would we put villain on here, initially calling and then calling a pretty large raise?
Is the push on the flop an ok move (I guess this follows on from the first question)
I started this hand with c. 20 bbs and with 8 players remaining. In those circumstances should I be avoiding any bluffs whatsoever?

So much in middle preflop that it would be best to shove. Well played on flop.

I would personally just shove preflop. There is 600 dead money in the pot, which is a big portion of our stack. This way you make it up for the position disadvantage. If we raise, we are committed postflop and can't fold on any flop with <1 PS bet left. I guess you won't feel comfortable putting all your money in on 89T or 9TJ flop. C/F flop is just burn of money and is a clear mistake. So just ship it in. Raise with your monsters to induce action.

So, my first option is to push, if you raise, just shove any flop. Well, unless you hit like AKK or something where you might want to check and induce a bluff from your opponent as he is likely to have missed the board completely.
