Anyway, today, i played 12 tables of 6max NL5. I decided that im gonna play nitty, no fancy shit (oh well) and just value value value. Played pretty well, i only need to keep some kind of discipline (bluffs in particular). Finished down 15 bones, mainly because of one bad bluff (200 bbs), couple of coolers (two pair vs. straight vs. total maniac for 350bbs, then tpgk and tptk for 100bbs against random agro donks) and one ridic hand (AK<94o for 250bbs allin pre). Overall i feel really good about my game, esp my redline is kinda balla:

I also wish i had better pc so i can play more tables.. I think i could do even 20.

Thanks Well i just started to be really bored with sngs. It's not about being sick of the variance or something like that. It's not challenging for me anymore, its just same standart shit over and over again. I also missed setmining.

@jb - well that was the plan, but i just couldnt help myself. And btw - my stats were 24/18 and 8% 3bet - thats pretty tight (at least for me).

Also, why don't you mix it up? some SNGs and some cash games, or something like that. Best of both worlds?

I think mixing sngs and cash is the worst thing you can do.. The thing is that sngs (and also mtts) play so much differently and its really tough to adjust, esp if you play a lot of tables (12). I dont even play sngs and mtts at the same time.

If you mean to doing something like 1st week - sngs, 2nd - cash, then im actually already doing something like this. Except that i play something else once every two days. ♦

Anyway had a good session, i feel really great about my game atm. I did make two plays i dont like at all, by that i mean calling a 4bet oop with AK.. Didnt really feel like 5betting with AK for 180bbs and folding is not an option as well. And also i cold 4bet with A2s (BTN v. SB and a little me) and guy donked into me with TPTK, i was stupid enough to call him when he shoved the turn, which gave him top two and me TP+fd. I won so i dont feel too bad.
But overall i think i played well.

Also, i would like to move up to NL10 after 20k hands total (which with my current volume is like 12 days). I dont know if im gonna play the deep tables or the 40-100bbs tables, i guess i will mix it. Honestly i think all tables on stars should be 40-250, i really love those.

Played 16 tables for the first time in my life today and it went pretty well. It actually isnt as difficult as i thought it would be, i havent timed out once and didnt even make a single misclick. Played a bit differently to yesterday (esp in 3betting, 5% today vs. 10%). Won some 25 bucks, didnt really have many interesting hand so i wont post any hand for a change.

Played another 3k hands today (16 tabling in the first session, only 12 tabling in the second - im probably gonna stick to 12 tabling) and even though i made couple of mistakes, i feel pretty good and im gonna start playing NL10 tommorow. I dont think there's gonna be much difference between NL5/10 skill-wise. I just have to adjust to different stacksizes, because im used to playing 250bbs deep.

I really hope that my progress thru cash games isnt gonna stop at NL25 again, as it already did twice. Which is obviously annoying since i dont know why i shouldnt be able to beat NL25 if i can beat any limit below. I would like to reach at least NL50 this year and beat it with a reasonable rate.

Also i will have no problems making gold star this month, which i failed to do last month. Even making SN will be very well possible if i can stick to cash games and not start playing mtts/sngs again. And i will have to put in enough volume at NL25+.

Played my first NL10 session, around 2k hands. Went quite ok, took me a while to adjust to smaller stacksizes but it was ok after 30 minutes. Session ended pretty terribly, made like 4 bad calls in space of 10 minutes (which cost me around $20), so i quit before i would have donked of more. Had decent profit, around 30 bones for the day which is pretty good.

Had a bad session, finished down like a hundred bucks. Decided to play 4 tables of NL16 and 8 tables of NL10, which turned out to be a retarded move. How is it possible that i beat NL10 and below so hard and get just crushed everytime i play anything higher? Seriously, im down like 500 bones lifetime at NL16+ even though i've played like 10k hands at most there.

I dont want to whine about running bad, i definitely was unlucky in some spots, but overall im not happy with the way i played at all. There were some spots where i can say "ok, theres nothing you can do". But i didnt really have to put in 250bbs on the flop with nut flush draw during like my second orbit of playing NL16 or check jam the river with top two for 220bbs at NL16 as well.

I can only really say that i got coolered/unlucky in two hands that were 75bbs+, the rest were just spews and one was kinda meh (6bet shove with 33 vs. a total donk is ok i think, esp in that spot with that dynamic and i dont feel too bad about it. i even had the best hand, but obv lost the flip). Overall i donked of like $130.

Had a kind of good/bad day.. Run ridiculously cold (i mean, some of the hands were just insane), but i really feel like i played my best game and im really confident about it atm, even though my stats didnt look pretty today (20/15 is kinda meh imo). Im also putting in pretty sick volume these days, already played over 23k hands this month.

I finally discovered the right playing style to beat these games it looks like, so im really happy about myself now. I think i'm going to play like 15k more hands at NL10 and if i continue to beat it, i will take shots at NL16.

And btw - i find it really funny how every random NL5/10 fish has hidden themselves from the search feature.. I mean why? Why do people feel like they can give away any info? Why do people feel so badass that they grind NL5 with $4,22 on the table, but noone can ever find out if they play anymore tables?

I personally have it on, because i dont think it gives anybody any kind of edge over me. Yes, they will see that i play many tables - but is it really that hard to figure out or important to know?

The thing is if you see someone play 24 tables his timing tells aren't so good because the delay might be cause by action(s) on other table(s). Apart from that, it's easy to just click find, see someone's playing 4 or more tables with a full stack and mark him as a regular. I mean, sure, they are playing NL5 and are no poker prodigies but it does give you a little bit extra info to aid in decisions. It's definitely not key but every piece of information can help make the best decision.

When I reinstalled the PS client lately (fresh install) it was setup to hide me from search by default.

The worst players always seem to play at 1 table at a time and they do got followed by sharks a lot and they might get annoyed with that. However players who are multitabling heavily almost never bad players. At least not bad enough to chase them on every tables.

But there are tools (TableScan Turbo) with which you can see how many tables each palyers playing at. I use it to find the worst players and to spot massively multitabling regs and color code them. You can even import your PS notes file so it shows color codes/notes.

You can easily determine if someone is/isnt a reg simply based on his stats, stack, VIP status and country.. Something like 80/10 56bbs bronze star Russian is a dream. (about the country, im not really kidding.. most people from Russia/southern europe who play uNL are just gigantic donks so when i see someone from these countries, i just assume that they suck too)

Seeing how many tables he's playing doesnt help you determine anything at all.. All you will know is that he plays a lot of table. So what? Does it mean that he's good? No.

About timing tells - if you play a lot of tables yourself (and i assume you do), you cant really pay much attention into it and honestly, it's not that reliable piece of information either. You need to have played a shitloads of hands with each and every villain to be able to say when he has air/nuts based on his timing tells.

What stats with no hands on a player? I prefer deepstacked fish so fishy stack sizes isn't great. VIP status is kind of irrelevant imo. Country.. matters a bit, true. So yes, how many tables he is playing helps me determine if he is likely to be tighter/looser and if he is a grinder/recreational player without having any stats. There's more to it than good/bad. And I don't play so many tables as to not notice any timing tells. To be perfectly honest, I haven't given timing tells too much thought until watching TTs vids which kinda made me realize the basics of common timing tells.

VIP status is one of the most relevant non-hud kinda things you can have on a player.. If someone has it on and it says bronze he sucks 99,9% of the time. Also if you see a Gold+ its pretty safe to assume that he knows what he's doing. Silver is usually kinda meh.

Honestly i think timing tells are kind of overrated, as more often than not people do stuff just so randomly that its tough to say whether they are strong or not based on their timing. I play 12 tables and i usually can see if someone is acting quickly or not, but i will not base any of my decision on it. It's just so easy for someone to take a lot of time by accident, like you accidently minimise the table, or because he's talking to someone, had to go somewhere or w/e. I mean, are you gonna make a 100bb call based on someone taking 15 seconds more than you thought they do when they have a strong hand?
