Hi,

1) I would like to take advantage of the new player offer ( https://www.pokerstrategy.com/ggpoker/);
Questions:

[*] What are the HoneyMoon Missions ?
[*] Are they from you or from GGPoker?
[*] Will I have to deposit extra money for this? (Possibly missions for variants other than THNL -> noob -> loss until mission goal reached)
[*] Tips and tricks for these missions ?

2) I would also like to participate in the raffle ( https://de.pokerstrategy.com/news/pokerstrategy/Auf-nach-Vegas-mit-PokerStrategy.com!_126635/?utm_source=19948&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=PS+Newsletter&utm_term= cta)

Questions:

[*] can you only participate once in the week in which you created the GGPoker account?
[*] would like to participate in the final draw which starts on 05/08. What is the server time? (which time applies?)
[*] could I create an account on May 8th (for the last raffle) and take part in the tournament in time, for which you get a ticket?
($5 Global MILLION$ Mystery Bounty)

Many thanks for your help

Hi Coolambo! I just noticed this post so I hope I am not too late in answering your questions...

Questions:

[*] What are the HoneyMoon Missions ?

"Honeymoon" is a collection of missions or tasks, për day, that are available to new players and must be commenced within the first 30 days of creating your GG account. You don't need to deposit in order to begin them (at least, I hadn't when I began mine, unless they changed the rule. But its hard to do without cash. For obvious reasons! I got extremely lucky with their daily Freebie and had banked $100 within days of creating my account without depositing).

The honeymoon is worth IIRC $250, delivered in inceements after completing so many of the tasks. After 5 tasks, you get a $5 spin and go ticket (SnG buyin), for example. Aftët 10 tasks, you get g$15 - equivalent to a real dollar, but cannot be cashed out until its been placed on a cash game or used to buyin to a tourney.

After 3 all 30 tasks, there's $200 in real money (actual $, not g$, so don't need to be waged in a cash game).

The missions might be simple, such as be Dealt AA in a holdem cash game at any stake, or harder, like forcë your remaining opponent to fold whilst holding double suited Aces in any stake of PLOmaha.

There are other tasks too, such as participate in a bounty hunter tournament (you don't need to place in the money) and/or participate in same tourney and knock at least one (sometimes more) opponent out.

[*] Are they from you or from GGPoker?
The missions are for you to complete every 24hours, with a little chart saying the days you completed and the days you failed.

[*] Will I have to deposit extra money for this?

No.

[*] Tips and tricks for these missions ?

Play winning poker! Actually there's some very useful guides to the honeymoon with examples of the missions that you can find just by googling "ggpoker honeymoon walkthrough/guide" - which is what I did. NOTE: the missions listed in the guide might not be exactly the same as the one(s) you get, but they are all variations of the same theme.

My biggest tip would be to use things like "run it twice" or "run it three times" when trying to reach certain goals. Lots of players don't use these, because its not "real" poker. To have two flops, for example, is alien to them.

2) I would also like to participate in the raffle
[*] can you only participate once in the week in which you created the GGPoker account?

I cannot answer this as I've only just made a deposit so haven't recieved any ticket yet, but I'll let you know if and when I do!

[*] would like to participate in the final draw which starts on 05/08. What is the server time? (which time applies?)

GGpoker server time, AFAIK is UTC (GMT) - their midnight madness tourneys start at 1am UK time, as we are currently BST, British Summer Time, or GMT+1 (UTC+1).

[*] could I create an account on May 8th (for the last raffle) and take part in the tournament in time, for which you get a ticket?
($5 Global MILLION$ Mystery Bounty)

As I understand, the ticket is a deposit reward, and is credited within 36 hours of deposit, so you will need to ensure you do it before the deadline otherwise you might not be credited in time.

Also, that tournament can be bought into at any time for $5 - you can also enter multiple stage 1 (day 1x equivalent in WSOP-style tournament day labelling) and all your surviving stacks from each day 1 you enter will be combined into your starting stack for day 2.

Double check my last comment about multiple day 1 stacks - that was the case last month for the same tournament, but I've noticed in their microFestival tournament series that it specifically states you can enter multiple day 1s but only your BIGGEST stack will be brought into day 2.

There was a bit of a problem last month (that got me chat banned for 30 days when I told the moaners to shut up! - actually, they where asking where their missing chips where, and I said they was in my stack. Less politely).

Turns out that some folks who entered satelites to the final day 1 of the event, and placed in that day 1, that final day 1 competition finished within seconds of the starting time of the day 2 final. So all the winners didn't get their extra stack credited - but strangely, the chips of winners who had not previously won a day 1 got their without problem. It didn't affect people who had entered multiple day 1s before the day of the final (I had recieved my 2 qualifying stacks without any missing) so it only affected those people who where in that last tournament.

This might be why they (might have) changed the rules so you can only have 1 qualifying stack. That's my guess.

I won a satellite entry into the GG festival Mystery Bounty $1,000,000 guaranteed.

Buyin is ten dollars. I'm in for just one! There where 13 tickets (8gtd) and a runner up of $5 for 14th.

I'm actually thinking of entering more, since your day 1 stacks all combine when (if) you get to day 2!

The satelitë was EXTREMELY soft! It was estimated to run for only 1hr30mins, with the buyin late reg. period being an hour. I bought in with about 30mins left, got 20BB and looked to double up off a soft player. Worked a charm. Never seen so many fish in one table.

If I can do these satellites, that's a massive saving! Ten entries to day 1 is $10.80 - but winning ten satellites is just $10!

The ticket can be converted into T$, or used to enter these, which run several times a day until 26th June!

Qualification for day 2 is automatic once the entrants are reduced to 12% - the usual bubble protection applies when we get close to tbe.cutoff number of players, which is displayed on the lobby ince rwgistration ends

The mystery Bounty starts on day 2, but unlkke normal bounty where knocking a player out gives you the figure on their head, in this toirname it doesn't grant you their bounty total, but rather you get to open one ofany many mystery chests, randonly chosen, and which are a distribution of all the bounties collected during the day 1s. The chests values range is know as soon as the day 1s ended and day 2 tourney starts! With $46k to the winner, and $30ish to the guy finishing last.

And here's that top spot prize money (AT THE MOMENT, it's only going to get bigger once more people play through the day 1s. Let's face it, how often to GG have to cover an overlay for their guaranteed tournaments? Never! They always meet the target, even if it takes until the last second of leg Reg of the last day 1 tournament!

This is just a test:

Spoiler

Hi AcesMagnet,
Congrats on your satellite victory!
A note about embedding images.

You posted:

[img]ibb.co/tLbQznV[/img]

That link takes you to a page on which there is the image you want to post.
This page in fact: https://ibb.co/tLbQznV
If you right-click that image and choose "copy image link" or similar wording , you get an expanded url for the image which is

 https://i.ibb.co/6X4r8Gj/Acrs-magnet-won.png

If you put that url in image tags, it likely will fail, but if you just remove the :// part and I can fix it in three keystrokes.

I don't mind fixing the occasional image for new members, but all the extra steps mean I likely pass by to other people's posts.

Cheers,
VS

Vorpa! Thanks for that. I will indeed find the link to the actual jpg or.png rather than the shortened url from now on, until I can post.htpps

I am happy to announce that the first of my satelite tickets has been converted into a final place!

I have a couple more to spend. I failed during afternoon (UK) time so I tried at 5.30am to see if that changed things, maybe smaller or weaker field... I'm not sure about whether it was weaker or not, but I got my AA cracked after building a nice sized stack. So I spent best part of 90mins or more nursing a very small stack over the line! I had less than 8 big blinds when this popped up

Vorpa I did as you asked, but it's making this into an unreachable URL until the edit comes... wish I could dive into your forum php and fix your BB code 😆 god I miss being devops. But anyway it should be easy for you to edit then ill delete this crap after. I included the normal one below, as a heads up more than anything. Correct img code is above. Not below.

SHIP IT!!! At the moment 2116th place gets $64, but ITM is ITM and I've still a chip. A chair, and several satellite ticket prayers! Combining 10 8 big blind stacks is 80 big blinds. So who cares if my stack is small in each day 1! Many day 1s make light work

Note for Vorpal: My apologies Vorpal there are four links to edit here. I made them all as you requested - if I cannot find points to upgrade soon, I will consider buying them direct, in order to be able to post myself without needing them edited!

Looks like a continuing theme!

Another day 1 finish to add to my stack!. It would have been much bigger, but unfortuately, deep into the tournament and doing very well, my QQ in the small blind ran into a limper with KK on the button.

Fortune Turns Her Back
I made it 3x, BB folded and BTN called. I bet the T high flop, Villain called. I bet the blank tuen and BTN pushes the rest of his chips into my snap call and turned over his black Kings.

Fortune Shines Bright Once More unto Me
With the river also a blank, I was left with a small stack which I nursed over the line with much prayer to the goddess of fortune, who certainly provided her blessèd protection unto me!

Here is the hand I refer

Smallest Day 1

5.30am is the time to go for this if you are ⁷looking for the shortest of day 1 fields! It just so happens that I missed the 1.30am I was aiming for, then fnd fell asleep so missed the 3.30am but I awoke in time to register for the 5.30am before it started, with a meagre 176 (IIRC) runners and 21 making it to day 2, this figure grew with late entries to around 400 with 48 qualifying.

This ongoing saga now means I am currently sitting with:

Ranked 3,965th out of 4,346, and I am sitting on 15big blinds. There are 430 players with less chips than me!

Must. Try. Harder! In fairness, I was doing VERY well until QQ ran into KK as described. That left me with around 25/30 big blinds as we approached the end of registration, on the level where 10
big blinds was what you got for the buy-in.

In Summary:
So I've still not enough chips to get a Mystery chest, unless I am lucky enough to be on a table with all shorter stacks than me! There are 430 players with less chips, so I suppose it is entirely possible that I'll have at least one chance of opening a chest.

Knowing GG, and their methods of blatantly favouring recreational players over regulars (mostly pros), and having publicly stated such, I bet their seating algorithm deliberately places bigger stacks with bigger stacks - kinda like a tennis tournament seeded knockout but in reverse seedling - smalls play smalls, with some kind of weighting applied so big stacks cannot become absolute monsters but at the same time giving the smalls a chance of a slightly more prolonged game play rather than forced to shove every hand in fear of being surrounded by big stacks.
