That moment in the morning, you have a weak stomach flu, you feel a bit nauseous, you start your work and open an article in the New England Journal of Medicine and the first thing you see is a picture of anal bleeding!

That's nasty... :f_mad: But for those of you who are still capable of eating, here's a tip:

If you need to cook breakfast and have no idea what to make, you can't possibly go wrong with some good old scrambled eggs and bacon.

Good, solid food, quick and easy to make.

I rate it four Negs out of five.

I´m going nuts! At the first glance I thought there´s blood in your glass. That´s what happens when you write the wohle day about hemophilia. _mad:

Ok, I finish the "eeeeew"-trolling and get back to our topic: food and cooking. :sifflote:

So, now, as for your breakfast-recipe:

Really great recipe, just took oatmeal instead of scrumbled eggs, yoghurt instead of bacon and pears instead of bread.

Great recipe! You get five Negs from me!

It's grapefruit juice, don't worry.

I give you 0,5 Negs for that one.

If you read medical journals before (or worse -- during) breakfast you're going to have days like that.

My Mum was a nurse.
When she was on day shift we would quite often hear gruesome stories while eating dinner.

Never bothered me...

Won´t do grocery shopping today. Wanna use up what´s in the fridge and in the freezer.

Gotta take that one back. Fridge is now almost empty, not much left in the freezer.

For supper last night I ate freezer-burned Eggos, two eggs and ice cream with cherry pie filling

Even more Mussgo-Menus:

We had some beef in the freezer, defroze it, cut it into pieces, just in time, the organic local and seasonal veggies and fruit arrived, so I took some carrots and leek, opened a glass of Wok-veggies, added Mu-Err-mushrooms, cut an onion into small pieces, added a cup of water as well as Chinese spices and threw everything into my multicooker. Cooked the whole stuff for about 7 minutes under vapour pressure, quickly put two packages of Uncle Bens rice into the microwave et voilá. We had a nice exotic meal with beef! Was surprised that it really tasted very similar like in a Chinese restaurant.

4 Negs out of 5.

Sounds great, Prim! :f_thumbsup:

While Uncle Ben's is nice, especially for those who are in a hurry, replace it with some good jasmine rice that has been washed and properly cooked in a rice cooker, and I imagine you can easily bring this meal up to at least 4.5 Negs.

As for me, I'm afraid this may be the closest I'm going to get to any Chinese cooking at home any time soon...

Unfortunately there´s no soy sauce in the house :f_frown: That´s why only 4 Negs. Would have needed wheat-free soy sauce, shiitake-mushrooms and some more exotic spices. It was good anyway and I´m planning to cook this meal again some time but then with soy sauce, shiitake, and more spices.

Maybe tomorrow? There´s rice left over but we ran out of bio-beef and gotta buy the other ingredients as well.

So, grocery shopping [x] done!

Bought potatoes, red beet, yellow beet, chinese cabbage, radish, some interesting "fake fish sauce" (which is for vegans and some kind of soy-sauce but was the only one without wheat), nuts, dats, figs, salami, chicken wings, beef, bacon, gherkins, shiitake-mushrooms, mu-err-mushrooms and ginger. This time I didn´t forget the ginger!

Gonna make kimchi again!

Hope I´ll make a 5-Negs-kimchi! _biggrin:_cool:

Anyways: We had chops, baked potatoes and green beans with bacon for dinner.

Delicious!

5 Negs!
