Today as yesterday the sun shines, and it is hard to be able to move alone for max 200 meters from your home.
We are not forbidden to go for walks or hikes, we are only required to maintain distances from one another.
We are also permitted to go get groceries and other necessities
In Italy, the restrictive measures already in place have already been extended for another 2 weeks. Experts say that the month of April will also be a battle.
In British Columbia, we are still getting new cases -- average about 75 a day for the past week.
Unless the numbers start to decline, we will be under restriction for a while yet.
Today I have to take my brother to the eye doctor since he cannot drive any more.
I'm a bit surprised the eye doctor is still seeing patients, but she is, so we'll go.
I'll just avoid everyone!
Finally today we have a sharp drop in daily infections while the dead are 812. It seems that restrictions are improving but the road is still long .....
As I mentioned, I drove my brother to his eye-doctor appointment yesterday.
Normally, at the time I went, the streets are packed, parking is hard to find and the trip takes about an hour and a half each way.
Yesterday, just about exactly an hour, and parking was easy to find -- most parking lots were totally empty
Lombardy is the most infected region in Italy. But in this region there is a municipality that does not even have one infected. Students will try to understand what is the reason that makes that population immune.

I had used up the last of the oatmeal yesterday, but found a container of "steel cut oats" so I made today's breakfast out of that.
I'm not a fan.
It was rather gluey, yet gritty at the same time.
Tomorrow, I'll use more water and cook it longer.
When it's gone, I'm back to rolled oats though -- way cheaper for one thing.
In the midst of all the kerfuffle, we passed 13 hours of daylight, and I didn't even notice.
