This morning, when I woke up the bird feeder was completely empty.
I'm guessing that the squirrel was back.

@VorpalF2F I'd want to have that kind of bird feeder in our backyard, where did you get that one? 
That one comes from Wild Birds Unlimited but similar feeders can be found in most hardware stores.
To find one near you, do a search for "suet block bird feeder" or you can make your own
My grandson owned one of these, and it was in our house for a while.
Totally low maintenance -- except that it eats live crickets, which you can buy at a pet store.
The problem with that is that they occasionally get loose.
We had a cricket in our wall for a few days.
No idea what happened to it.
I expect the wall of the sewing room is a cricket graveyard

I assembled a collection of clips from the bird feeder yesterday.
I've mentioned in the video that I don't know the names of some of the species.
If you do happen to see one you recognize, please let me know -- either here on on youtube
I'm pretty sure these aren't birds.
Maybe there are some naturalists at PokerStrategy.com that can help out here.
Looks like you see a lot of animals where you life. I see most of the time only dogs and cats in the winter.
We do see a lot.
If you look in the background you'll see a forest, and to the right of that there is a creek.
The creek runs from the hills to the south of us into the Fraser river.
In the spring salmon spawn in the creek.
There are coyotes and raccoons around as well, but we're not likely to see them.
The people who lived here before us would feed the raccoons, and they became a nuisance.
One came into our kitchen once.

Walking yes -- I don't own a bike.
Around here, not a lot of cycling trails, and I hate cycling on rural roads, since there isn't adequate room at the sides.
Lots of nice wilderness trails nearby, but I generally just walk the streets near the house.
I see. Here in the Netherlands almost anyone has a bicycle. Walking is nice as well.
