Here are the practice and qualifying times for the Spanish Grand Prix.

First Practice

Second Practice

Third Practice

Qualifying

Note - Magnussen will start the race from the pit lane as penalty for failing to stop for a mandatory weight check during FP2.

Also there has been a minor driver change with Vestappen moving from Toro Rosso to big brother Red Bull and Kvyat moving in the opposite direction.

It certainly was a great victory seeing Toro Rosso have said Kvyat will be given time to get used to the car. Vestappen didn't need much time familiarising himself with the Red Bull. :f_thumbsup:

The results:

The next race is in Monaco on May 29th.

The countdown is on for my favourite Grand Prix of the season in Monaco. I know that track like the back of my hand from spending waaaay too many hours playing video games. :f_biggrin:

The 1st 2 practice sessions have been completed:

Free Practice 1:

Free Practice 2:

In other news, Renault had planned to release their new engine in time for the Canadian Grand Prix but have released two engines for Monaco.

One has gone to Red Bull (Daniel Ricciardo) and the other to Renault factory team (Kevin Magnusson). Renault believe the new engines to be up to half a second a lap faster.

The final results of the Monaco Grand Prix:

Lewis Hamilton gets his first win this year, but was he lucky? Did Red Bull hand the race to Hamilton with an ordinary pitstop?

The next race is the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal on June 12th.

Next GP hopefully more luck for Verstappen and it looks like he can’t do anything good in Monaco so far.

With a ordinary pitstop where all tires would have been ready , he would have won...:f_rolleyes:

Indeed. Hopefully this was the last time they have made that mistake.

FINAL RESULTS FOR THE CANADIAN GRAND PRIX

For me the highlight of the race was the wonderful defensive driving of Max Verstappen in the closing laps. He eventually forced Rosberg into taking a low percentage passing move and forced the mistake.

Toro Rosso’s Carlos Sainz and Renault’s Kevin Magnussen have both been given five-place grid penalties for this afternoon’s 2016 Formula 1 Grand Prix of Europe thanks to unscheduled gearbox changes on their cars after qualifying.
