ok sorry my alter-ego there,
my current goal is to move up to NL25 Zoom.

It's always a good idea to unchain your alter ego once in a while -- they get freaky if they're cooped up too long.

Aw cheers mate i appreciate that! I'm upgrading my streaming gear (i understand my microphone doesn't work half the time and my webcam is trash) so future streams may be a little easier on the viewer.
But yes i intend to just play solid for the most part. Hopefully i won't have a thousand and one spots at once like last stream haha.

I would go for a 50bi bankroll before taking shots.
That way, you can take a serious shot and loose 10bi before moving down again.

Should be less frustrating when the cards don't fall in your favour.
I play a lot, and 10bi swings are present in my graph almost every single week.

I was thinking maybee of taking a 200$ shot at 800$. 8 BI should be adequate right?.. 50BI seems excessive. Although i could get swingfucked

I don't think 50bi is excessive at all. Its more on the aggressive side than most BRM guides would advise.

As long as you keep 50 buy ins for the level below if the shot fails i think you should be fine so $750 or 30 buy ins is perfectly ok to take a 10 buy in shot at 25nl. gl.

So, I think it's good advice to go for 100bi default and take shot when you have 50bj for the next level.
I truly believe this is a good advice, and 30bi is too little. So I have to disagree with you

I truly believe this is a good advice, and 30bi is too little. So I have to disagree with you

Bankroll strategies certainly aren't a 1 size fits all some people find 20bi or 25bi enough for an aggressive bankroll strategy i prefer 30bi for my shots others prefer to be more conservative with their bankroll. strategies.

Nothin like running above EV. First time for everything.
I'm pretty damn proud of the work i've put in and the graph. First time legit grinding hard.

Ok. so i've decided.
850$ is when i'm taking a shot, and i'll be shotting 10BI.
This will leave me with a comfortable 600$ if i wasn't to succeed which is easily enough to fall back on for NL10.
At higher limits i think i'll use a 50BI shot, but i feel i was to grind to over 1k$ at NL10 then this could potentially be a waste of time. NL25 is much higher RB, it just depends on how much tougher the limit is. In complete honesty i don't think it's going to be any different.

This is the first time for me taking a shot and maybe nerves will play effect. If at any stage i feel uncomfortable, i'll be dropping back down.
I will be streaming my first shot too, just to add the pressure. i'll be going live sometime today for anyone wanting to tune in.

Ok so to say i ran bad would be an understatement. I've got absolutely spanked with my pants down, time and time again. My EV line says it all, but only tells half of it.

I've hit my BI threshold of 10BI shot.


Even though I've ran terrible, I've hit the leaderboards each day for around 12-15$, and i got 20$ rakeback from the fish bubble promo.
So I've actually kept afloat for longer then expected with this run.

Just drop down your not that far away from another shot if you do a 10 buy in shot at $750 and drop down at $500 to 10nl then rinse and repeat until you make a shot stick.

How is it going ... I just now finished watching ur first 4h session on twitch (Xmas time with kids = almost no time)

I have to say ur play looks very solid and u seems very comfi with the NL10 limit. It looks to me that moving up to NL25 is actually due ... and I want to really encourage u to keep on trying ur shots.

I personally almost always (in the past) kept moving up to late and it cost me alot (I guess).

Your Decisions on the River really inspire me to evaluate my gameplay. (this is the point why I am writing here today). Some of ur laydowns are so solid ... its is mindblowing (for me).
Since I watched ur 4h stream over I couple of days a can't really quote a specific hand, sorry about that. But folding TPTK or overpair vs. a shoveAI from a Reg on the River ... is sadly not in my game ... and u keep ur cool and rant and then just fold :thumps_up:

As for the whole "moving up thingy":

It is almost always not the actual gameplay that is keeping urself down at the current level but the mindset.

While taking shots u start thinking about the money aspect of poker more (since u can only afford to take shots with X amount of buyIns). With this in mind, the gameplay aspect ( when to put money in the pot) fades the the background) and the money aspect become more relavant(sadly).

Grinding it out become more tedious(?), since u are almost always to hard on urself for loosing big pots etc.
