i think they both played bad.

If you have him on AA you should still get it in because you flopped trips.

Ok seriously, don't fold KK against random people in early game. Ever. They have much wider ranges than just QQ-AA when they 4bet shove or do weird stuff.

I've seen everything down to J4s so I'm never folding KK here even with three people in the action.

Yea, KK is never a fold in these limits/ these phases. I think It's well played. As for them, the AQo raise is, well, questionable but not necessarily a mistake (assuming that he also thinks that your raise is a wider range than usual). The QQ guy, well... If he had some notes/reads on the AQ guy, then he didn't make a big mistake, because he was right about the 3bet-guy, and you were playing the top of your range... Still, its worth thinking: what would you do on such a limit with QQ after 2 raises? Fold? Call is not an option.

I think 3betting an early position raise with AQ is a pretty bad idea and I can't imagine a plausible range that would incline me to do that. As far as the QQ goes, given stack sizes I'd just shove unless I have particular reads on the 3 better that would make me wanna fold instead.
