Sunday was very bad day at the tables, was playing way under my capabilities and made many serious mistakes.

Things look quite good after several days of grinding, but somehow I feel as the downswing is approaching ♦

Not sure if PT4 understands when I cash out during hand on Pokerstars, numbers might not be accurate.
NL5 looks so close now

Have so many interesting hands to post, did so many stupid moves and have so much to learn!

But I focused on grinding this week, while I was running hot.

I am playing bad today, making those "you dont have it" calls :f_eek::f_biggrin:
Lost 2 BI, but what worries me is my red line today, showing how lightly I jump into hand just to realise that I have nothing to do there

Also I noticed that the price of my bronze chest in Pokerstars rewards is extremely high, need to collect 5950 points for next chest!
If I generate 100 points in every $ of rake in cash games, it means that I should generate almost 60$ rake to get next chest

Anyway, I managed to collect few hundred coins from chests, exchanged them for Grand tour 1$ tickets and won few $$ in bounties. I find it very hard to follow how much exactly did I win there, every KO gives different reward. Grand tour is highly addictive btw and I like to play it on my phone, multitabling on cash tables on the phone is not my thing really so this is a nice game to play in a waiting room for example ♦

Was running quite qood since I started the challenge, preparing mentally for downswing. Always ready to go back to NL2 , it is more fun than NL5 :f_love::f_biggrin:

And already played few hands there, cant say much except that there are less tables and more regs so games are bit more tight than wild NL2.
Got set mined couple of times, 2BI down atm but there is no much difference in the game quality between NL2 and NL5. Just need to adapt to tables with less recreational players.

And I tilted, whatever I tried those few days didn't work...Grand tour, spin and go, zoom...failed everywhere and managed to go down to 90$ ♦

Anyway I am back in to NL2 full ring grinding, took few shots at Zoom with swingy results...managed to climb back to 110$ and tried NL5 zoom.

Really need 30+ BI for NL5, but I will try my game occasionally on 1 NL5 zoom table when I am above 22 BI.

Grinding full ring NL2 4 tables or zoom 6max 2 tables, playing careless so it is quite swingy atm, but I just need that vent sometimes, to go all in and dont care about the result.
I find NL2 extremely easy to beat, wish I could take it just a bit more serious to get those 30BI bit faster ♦

I am happy with volume, played almost 12k hands last 5 days and I will grind more.

At the moment my biggest leak is calling what I am not supposed to call
My goal is to play as many hands as possible and to try and avoid tricky spots. Call instead of raising sometimes, yes

Huh...this was swingy week ♦

As soon as I get few $$ in NL2 and become confident in my game, I switch 1 table NL2 for NL5 zom.
And I suck out so fast, not sure if I should laugh or cry.
I mean it is just incredible how comfortable I feel at NL2 and how bad I play at NL5. Maybe I should record a video of playing 2 tables simultaneously just to compare my play on those limits?
Truth is , I was putting in a lot of volume past days, playing 6+ hours daily and not really investing into improving my game.
At some point I will have to work on my leaks, calling bets when it is obvious that I am beaten is what is making me really angry of myself. Also the downgrade in my gameplay between limits is mostly in my head, never loved NL5 and never managed to beat it. I have better results from playing NL and PL 25 than NL5. But strategy significanty changed over the years and I just dont feel comfortable investing 750$ and playing NL25 after so many years.
What I need to do is go from the bottom and that is what I will do.

First, I need to work on my mental state before I jump into higher limit because I think most of these problems are caused by my own insecurity when playing in NL5 and tilting after sucking out or playing badly.
After that I can work on my leaks and improving my game.
Actually I collected quite a number of hands for review, but most of them are clearly mistakes caused by me playing in "auto mode" and tired or just tilt.

Well I did say in the hand discussion forum you should play nuts-type hands like suited Aces when deep, not suited Queens. In that Q♥:9♥: hand, he isn't raising a Ten high flush.

In these zoom games you usually really want a very good hand when you are both deep and your opponent puts a lot of money in. Because your opponent will. Non-nut-type hands I think you should be looking to play smaller pots when deep.

I am starting to play $5nl and curious what differences are nowadays. What do you think the differences are between $5nl and $2nl?.

Well my first day in NL5 was on FR tables. Less tables than NL2 with more tight regs. Slow paced action, nits... With good table selection you can find weak players.
Moved to Zoom, these sessions can be quite wild. Lot more preflop action than in NL2, plenty of recreational players.
They open raise and 3bet a lot more and it is easy to exploit it after you collect some data on opponents. Postflop in general is bit less aggressive than NL2 Zoom.
Other than that, there is no much difference. Or I didnt stay there long enough to notice them
And yeah, they hit the nuts every time when I have a decent hand

So far so good! It's nice to see some1 following the BR management.

I am also playing NL2 at this moment, and tried it out a few NL5 tables. I have the same observations as you metnioned, and think I can do pretty well there. But I feel like I need a bit more of BR to play NL5 than my 50$+.

No worries, this time I am quite strict with bankroll management and no matter how frustrated or tilted I am, it is almost impossible to lose 50BI on NL2
