SB was a complete maniac fish, bet for some reason when I entered pot he would give me some level of respect compared to other players at the table and be just a bit more cautious. The other player I forget exactly but I think I had reads they were also fishy , when they min-raised pre but then just called the 20c min raise this made me feel like my hand may not have been dead if an ace came. OTF aggro fish bets , I feel I had to call. OTT I thought it was close but once the BB just flats I think I have the best hand so I raise for value , OTR I think I can be beat sometimes but the 9h doesn't change the nuts, if he has KJ he had it on the turn. For some strange reason the aggro fish folds to 15 cents?!

Played for about 5 hours on two tables tn. My bankroll was at $130.00 tonight before I began, finished the night at $138.63. Not 100% sure when to take a shot at 5nl, I've heard that you should do so when you have 30 Buy-ins or so. I think that's at the $150 mark so I think I'll take a shot when I get to that, hopefully I can get there within the next week but no rush. Played Ok today, started to feel mentally exhausted around the 4 hour mark as I usually only play for an hour or two but I really want to put in volume and see if I have the skill to move up. Have a couple hands to share, I'll post some more tomarrow when I'm rested.

Just finished playing for the night, played for about 4 hours. I had a slow night the fishes were not paying me off when I had a hand. I was up quite a bit in the first hour but I lose some back , especially to one guy who was playing very aggressive, he was 4-betting me out of my seat. he happened to 4-bet me whenever I had a hand that could not quite defend but would fold to my 3-bet whenever I had a solid premium hand, frusturating to run against him like that as I was bled like 10bb to him about 3-4 times after I had to fold to his 4-bets. He was also the type of guy who triple barreled someone when they checked, I had observed him do it to multiple people including myself. I have played with him before and got the best of him once already so its ok. I don't quite know exactly how many hands I played I just try to keep track of hour many hours I'm playing for and how many tables I'm playing. Google says in a 1 hour of a normal 6-max game will yield anywhere from 75-100 hands an hour.

I played 3 tables for the first hour, then 2 tables for the other 3 hours so then I played roughly 900 hands.

I made a big 4-bet.. not quite sure about the sizing. Maybe I could have gone like 50c here? This villain had 4-bet shoved me just a few hands ago with KTo and I called with AQo. How does the rules go again? If we put more than 1/3 of our stack in then we should rather just go all-in ourselves? what do we think here, is this a spot I should have just shoved if I was going to put 66c in pre?

OTF I c-bet because I think I have Range Advantage on any board pretty much, hoping to fold out his broad-way hands with no diamonds etc. OTT I check and I'm really sick about this I guess I have no choice to fold. I wonder how I could have played this better... maybe by choosing a smaller 4-bet sizing, and maybe just checking flop since villain probably isn't likely to fold anything decent OTF and we will be checking a ton of turns OOP with AK.

Here's a triple barrel. I thought about checking flop because its probably better for my
opponent's range. I do c-bet and he calls. OTT I size up a bit and try to put pressure on
his weaker holdings like his AT,KT,QT,T9,88, and weaker PP if he has any. He does call...

In this hand I wonder if I should have sized up OTF? I feel like I could certainly have bet larger. I think I had been getting folds frequently and was like plz call I need you to stay in the pot, and have a 2nd best hand for me to win a big pot. OTT when villain donks large I actually thought about folding here, I was not happy about it and OTR same thing, I don't remember much about the opponent but I thought there may be slim chance villain is over-playing a worse hand like a set or something. If I had a set in this hand or a two pair I think it would have been a much easier fold. What do you think about the hand, do you find the fold anywhere?

On flop I am betting for value against worse Qx and some weaker PP like 77-JJ and whatever FD's he might have. OTT basically same thing. OTR I think villain may still call a river bet with TT,JJ and some QJs,QTs. maybe we're getting a bit thin on the river.

Not 100% sure when to take a shot at 5nl, I've heard that you should do so when you have 30 Buy-ins or so.

There is no difference in skill between 2nl and 5nl. So there's nothing to worry about there. You just have to be more strict when taking a shot, set yourself a stop loss, maybe 1 buy in or 1 and a half. But me personally, I wouldn't say good bye to 2nl until I had something like 60 to 70 buy ins for 5nl. That way a downswing doesn't hurt that much.

Don't get impressed by the results, I think the calling range here does not change much with how much you bet. MAYBE that was the one hand he'd continue to play, but there are others that you just get so much more value of. Plus it is easier to stack of on an ugly turn/river if the pot is already more than what you've got left

I'm always intrigued by monochrome flops.
There are 19,600 possible flops, and assuming that you hold a suited hand, there are only 165 of them that give you a flush on the flop. So it is approximately 118:1 that you flop a flush.

I love the flop bet -- at NL 2 and NL 5 it so often gets folds.
On a monochrome flop, assuming you have neither card, there are only 1081 combinations of hole cards opponent can have, so only a 4% chance that opponent has a flush already — so why not bet?

played 2 tables again, the other night for about 3 hours I made some bad plays and I ended the session down around 2 buy ins,
and today I just finished playing, played 2 tables for about an 1 and 1/2 hours, I quit playing early tonight because I was playing bad and running bad. In total I've gone down roughly 5 BI in my last two sessions of roughly 1000 hands.

In this hand I was playing against someone who has pretty aggressive, 3-betting and 4-betting pretty frequently. No one else at the table was really playing much so I 3-bet with this hand because it had blocker potential and suited but I think I should stick to tighter ranges after some reflection and not play polarized type ranges in these positions from CO. OTT I wasn't sure what to think when he donked into me, the Q should be better for my range but maybe he does donk with Qx. OTR I jammed overtop and this was pretty spewy. V shows up with somewhat wide of a call pre and odd line with his hand but overall I think the proper adjustment going forward is not to 3-bet more but to tighten up our ranges and play stronger range pre.

Here's another hand against a splashy player who was attacking my checks very frequently, every time I RFI he would call, I would C-bet he would call I would check turn he would bet every river so I knew he was bluffing me sometimes and it was agravating me. Turn shove seems like pure spew but I was frustrated and all there is to do is learn from it.

I have been studying some new gto content at pokercoaching but I find some of the concepts and how they go together pretty contradicting, I thought I had a good understanding of GTO from the previous course until this new one came out and studying I feel has messed with my head a bit. I found myself trying to incorporate the concepts too much in real time during a game and less real time trying to figure out what I can get value from, what is folding etc. I went back to thinking at a basic level tonight but I ran into some tough spots, I had the 2nd best set of trips 2 times tn which sucks... one of them I needed more time to think and I just decided to hit the call button because I was playing a big hand at another table and it was just easier hitting the call button OTR so I could focus on my other table, which sucked cause that was a stack I lost lol. No excuses though, played bad and ran bad, I'll review my hands as usual and come play again when I'm ready.
