I'm coming back to poker after 12+ years break. I used to be decently good (16 tables at NL100 with some shots at NL200) but the game was much easier back then. Now I just want to have some fun at the micros and wish to use this blog to keep track of how I do. My goal is to have the bankroll to play NL100, so let's say reach €3000. I have started ~1 month ago from NL2 with €50. I don't play much so, and mostly play from my phone (no HUD), so I don't have great expectations. Let's say I play 2k hands per week, even if I were crushing my limits it would take a huge amount of time for me to climb: a solid 10 bb/100 winrate at NL2 would still require 50k hands, so 6 months, to reach €150 bankroll from €50 and just move up to NL5! That's not reasonable, I'll be bored to death if I have to do that. So I won't follow a strict bankroll management. I will move up (or down) stakes when I feel comfortable with my game vs the field and have a positive EV bb/100 (no matter the actual bb/100). So in the best case where I'm winning at all limits, which won't happen, it should take about a year to get to NL100. So I'm being conservative and saying a couple of years. It's a long period of time, but nobody is running after me so no need to put pressure on myself.
I will try zoom (which did not exist when I used to play) and non-zoom games. I'll play just 6-max cash. I will update every 10k hands or when I move up/down in levels.
So, to sum up:
Initial bankroll: €50
Goal: €3000
Start: February 2023
Deadline: December 2024.
