After many years playing with lots of pleasure at Full Tilt and later at PokerStars the Dutch government decided that I couldn't play there anymore. I've cashed out and while looking for legal alternatives, GGPoker seemed to be the obvious option but I did not really like the room. All these unnecessary distractions and especially the ability to peek the cards that 'would have come'. Very tilt-sensitive and time-consuming.
I was also not allowed to use my Poker Tracker software anymore and had to rely on the build in stats (which only covers preflop stats).
I brought down my initial $100 quickly to $10 and then I realized that there was a Daily Freebie. Every day I just played the 0.25 Spin and Gold or Battle Royal. Nothing else.
I year later my bankroll was up to $140,- again and occasionally I started to play a tournament at Sunday again. I considered myself a real recreational player and I was totally okay with that.
At Facebook I've probably watched a little too long to poker topics, because more and more poker posts came along. It motivated me to pick up the cash games again.
With my $150- bankroll I started to play 5NL short-handed and after two weeks I finally was not plankton anymore
