Yes, the turn bet is nice and standard to gain value from 7x, 5x, pocket pairs Ax, straight draws. If he raises you, you have to call down imo as he could have stuff like 86, QT. With a good read it is foldable, but I wouldn't never do this against unknowns. If he bets the river Ace again you might consider folding. Well played.

basically: when your opponent does not show or react with any resistance and just check/calls the flop he is rarely having Kx but rather 2 overcards to the lowest 2 boardcards or a weaker pair than middle pair. so you are supposed to go ahead and bet your good middle pairs. you should even bet with A7.

you gotta ask yourself on the turn: do i have two good valuebets on turn and river and with top middlepair you get called down by many weaker pairs and you have to charge him for his drawing hands taavi mentioned and since unknown players do checkraise with draws or do strange "valueplays" with madehands you can't find a fold.
