Im not too active blogger, but let's give it a try.

I wrote my introduction / bio earlier here.

Started the month lazily, so I'm trying to get those 10k's of hands, to be eligible for the goodie bag raffle as a little motivation :) No way I could be even close to top grinders, I'll try to avoid zooming as much I can too.

Edited my screen name away from this post

Best of luck with your marathon challenge SeagalSteven!

Nice to see you taking part and here's hoping you ship the goodie bag!

Get those hands in and I'm looking forward to seeing some regular updates!

      Thank you!

So 3 updates per week, huh.

Might as well begin then after day1, now that I still remember this updating responsibility :)

752 hands +274bb, EV-wise +193bb. So I've 23 days remaining to complete my goal of 10k hands, that'll be 402 hands / day. I suck multitabling and really haven't played too much omaha (couple of months, and no, finns do not born with sick omaha skillz, unfortunately..), so that would be more than enough of an achievement for me. If I wont be getting the volume needed, just have to play zoom then, but I feel like I'm losing player there while in regular tables I can focus getting my money from fishes :f_biggrin:

Graph (I'll be using HEM2/OM2 stats for these)

Added date-filter to the graph, so that can be seen too.

Yeah thanks Laz, though I seriously doubt I'm going for the 2nd spot either with my volume :D

A stupid mistake cost me 100bb in todays session, this is what happened:

I got action in several tables at the same time. Especially, there was two tables side by side, where I had button same time and standard open when folded to me in both.

Now, in another table I have J :spade: 9:spade: 9:heart: 7:heart: and got 3 betted by BB, which I call.

On another table, I have same doublesuits hand, with jacks J:heart: J:spade: 5:heart: 2:spade: , open and BB calls.

Also a third table gave me simultaneous action distracting further.

In the meanwhile, first table the flop comes J:heart: 6:club: 4:club: , and 3better bets big. That's allright, just lets get it in, I have a top set with my doublesuited jacks, right??? (or only a pair of jacks being totally crushed :f_o: )

Best moment of the session, I've A:diamond: 7:diamond: K:spade: K:club: BTN, and there is aggro-monkey in the table.. I was +300bb deep and aggro had 168bb. Well 3-bet pot and flop comes K:diamond: 9:diamond: 5:spade: and aggro wants to get it in. That's alright, he had nice 1% equity with his Q:heart: Q:diamond: 3:diamond: K  :f_biggrin:

      1140 hands, +872bb, EV +778bb.

      Graph

So, a good start, 2 days and 1892 hands.

Not much progress after Friday's session here. Here's just a little update of results for myself, to see where I'm going.

Saturaday and Sunday I mostly like to play tourneys, as I did this weekend too. (buy-ins 229$, winnings 251$).

Also have grinded some omaha in IPoker, which I will not count towards my modest goal of 10k hands, those I will try to achieve on Stars only. Anyway, losing -6bins EV -3bin this month.

518 hands in Stars, -223bb (EV -187bb). Total 2410 hands.

Bad results everywhere, so time for a little session review and another go.

1698 hands more, 4108 total. -320bb EV -450bb. Some setups and couple of mistakes, but financially not so bad since I decided to reduce 2 tabling and taking a shot higher, which went pretty well focusing 100% every decision.

Not sure its a good or bad thing that that the losses came from big mistakes, while otherwise grinding steadily some profit.. Those mistakes cost a lot killing the profit, but on the other hand I feel those spots could've been avoidable and hopefully learning to do that next time..

My biggest leak seems to be going broke with aces with bad equity on the flop.. I'm not going broke deep on flops like QT8s with overpair, but flops like 237r I'm just not believing these guys have me crushed, more like trying to push my aces and equity to muck with one pair -type hands which have decent equity anyways.. But no, everytime they turn out to have the goods, maybe ppl at these stakes just dont try any fancy moves at these spots..

Well, it's Friday again, usually great day to play some omaha :f_biggrin:

Continued taking a shot upper level, resulting what must be first negative omaha Friday ever :(

Well, it's not that bad, 1443 hands -58bb EV -2bb, so close to break even (graph says -131bb but this must be because there were some hands on the lower level too). Started bad, then played pretty well until little tilt at the end ate the small profit again..

What tilted me was a hand, where I opened pot from BTN with ds-aces (which I normally never do, but there was a whale on BB and SB 3-betted with T987, 4bet and flopped a flush draw with over pair and ended up losing it. Quite standard, but tilted me anyways, and not long after this hand with same opponents:

I think it was pretty obvious that utg bets small so that when the fish gets it in he can shove his stack in. And I though so when playing, but still I called fish's all in and following shove from utg. I think that without the tilt, I might've just folded here since we only have invested 3bb's and dont get good odds :f_mad:

So, couple of promises from now on to myself:
      1. When tilting, just sitout for a while until feeling good again
      2. Just dont write anything in the chat, it's embarassing :f_o:

And yeah, total amount of hands 5551, halfway there.

And I was the biggest rock on the table, while other guys just open shove 54s 141bb :f_eek: I dont know if Stars hand out some free tickets to this tournament somewhere or ppl just have some drinks on Saturday evening and dont care, but very nice tournament indeed..

Too bad lost my big stack and my tournament ended after hitting against backdoor flush with trips +TK BvB (was this omaha or NLHE??) and flipping coins 88 v AQ 19bb, but still ITM and some profit from that one.

Some more omaha for the challenge Saturday and Sunday, 994 hands +169bb (again, the graph shows 166bb for some reason, must have something to do with those random hands lower limit) EV +93bb.

The biggest drop on the graph was once again overplaying aces, maybe should've just folded low rainbow flop but threehanded against fishy-looking fella couldnt do it. Sure enough it turns out he has played 5543 and nailed the flop with it :f_frown:

At least I've been recognizing regs higher limit, made some VPP's and not lost a fortune, so not a total catastrophe :D But the weekend is gone, expecting to see more regs and harder games.

      The graph

Too early to say where this week is going, but 2k more hands with small profit isn't a bad start. Started bad on Monday with the hand below, but made slow recovery so far.

Thought about this hand a bit and asked Kyyberi's opinion, and think this is the spot to fold aces preflop. UTG is limping-sort fellow and when he limp-raises, it's either aces or kings. SB is lottery-brazilian who will call whatever we do, and if UTG has aces we're in bad shape here with bad rainbow aces and variance blows my mind. Luckily turned out UTG hand kings with ace blocker, and hero was (small) favorite but it didn't hold and brazilian took won nice 450bb's lottery pot :f_cry:

Turned out to be a bad week.. Early last week had a session with a maniac, where I lost 5bins EV -1,5bin. He 3-bet every hand, couple of times outflopping my 4bet, other couple of times I had him 90% crushed be he still won them all somehow. Such a big hit that I went down in level, and really haven't been playing much omaha, started to hunt those kicks in NL this week instead :D

Anyhows, achieved the mission to play over 10k hands omaha this month.

Time to write blog once again, so might use this old one I have here..

      The Summer Challenge

The weather is just great in Finland currently, it's gonna be really hard to find time for poker next week for this promo, but gotta give a shot :D

As usual, I'm going to play PLO (at PL25), and also some tournaments since MM is under way. Stars has some promo that I should grind some amount of tournaments (10?) to win a shootout ticket, and also I won a satellite for the Main Event so gonna play that one at least.

+Bonus, gonna be a guest tonight at Skod's PLO-warriors coaching, looking forward to it! Unfortunately the video I made for it didn't cut it (too low-resolution), I had to made really fast new one, but I hope there is some interesting spots as well that I and fellow PLO-players can learn from :f_cool:

Mods, could you ship this blog to blog-section instead of this challenges-forum, TIA!
