Don`t whine.
Can there anything better than summer in Finland? ♠_cool:
Very good omaha-coaching yesterday! Even though the session I had played for the coaching was pretty bad (played it 2am previous day after coming back home from Estonia ♦), the leaks are there and got lot to think about.
Paid 39$ or so for gold status here in PS to be able to participate coaching in the first place, since my Stars-account (where I prefer to play) isn't tracked by Strategy and didn't have time to grind those StrategyPoints from William Hill. The coaching for sure was worth 39$ easily, but kind of sucky since the amount to rake gold is something like 100$ I think, and today raked like quarter of that in William Hill in just one session (fewer than 500 hands)
MicroMillions is over, didn't manage to play those 6-9 tournaments, oh well..
At least managed to grind ~min-cash from ME, so 100 FPP turned into 22$ ticket, and then into 46$ so got something out of it. Too bad my stack withered away, and had to go only 6bb left from CO with K4 , sucked out too against iso-shoving KQ but cold-calling guy's J9s was too much.
So back to omaha. Played against one passive megawhale couple of days ago, and coach-Kyyberi's (I think) observation came back to my mind: It's somehow really weird, that there are these guys playing 98% of their hands. Sometimes you see them in the showdown with completely random hands, like Q
9
3
2 :spade:, or always funny trips like 9
3
3
3♣ that they deem too good to fold preflop ♦ The funny part is, that still there are some hands that even these fellows consider too bad to invest that 1bb limp, and I really wonder what kind of hands they can possibly be??
Sessions when the B-game was played are much better for analysis, as leaks are seen better than in A-game ones. My first video for Skod's private analysis was also B-game.
The public coaching was def-ly pithy
GL with the challenge!

You're right Tony on that one. Looking forward your PLO-coaching tonight
Ok, so it's 31st July today, last day of the month. Seems that I'm still lacking some points for PokerStars Gold-level next month, gotta grind them today. I'll have to play Zoom the get enough points though
Mont has been BE so far, hopefully this Zooming won't cause horribly deep hole now at the end..

There will actually be a B-game there

Loading a lot of regular tables works well too. Zoom is a financial black hole - recreationals play too tight and donate money too slowly.
Actually, I resort to 2-card SnGs when I need VPPs fast (a bit faster than PLO of similar stakes), so if you don't fail there totally (know ICM and Nash ranges etc.), they may help. 12-tabling $30 6-9-man turbos and Fifty50s or 6-tabling $15 6-man hypers (in case you're not sure of postflop play) nets 120-150 VPPs an hour (and takes as much effort as 3-tabling Zoom).

Yeah, unfortunately I'm not much of a multitabler, need to focus max like 4 omaha tables or else my game goes to D-level game
I like to play some SnG here and there, but those buy-ins are too high for my BR, doubt that my usual 3,5-7$ SnG's rake that well
Well, it took 2173 hands to grind through, but mission accomplished and Goldstar secured until August 31st
Ran like 500bb under EV, but can't complain when cards kept coming too.

Sick games in the regular tables for sure, this one Brazilian guy played 178 hands and lost 656 BB's, that's ~-370bb/100 winrate
But these guys are gamblers, some day they crush the games, somedays they crush their BR's.
PLO challenge alert!!
Thanks for making this challenge, will follow for sure!
Best of luck,
Fran
Thanks Fran
I played some tournaments for change on Sunday. Played two satellites to Sunday million, ran hot and got 2 tickets ♦ So the next challenge is to convert 215 tournament$ to real$ playing SNG's, let's see how that goes.
The major itself was flop. I had a big stack on my table when blinds started to increase, so all looked very good. Then there was this maniac-type player with also a big stack, couple of hands before saw him 3bet utg-opener from utg+1 with 63
etc, very active. So when I had AK
and flop comes KQ :diamond:2
or similar, just couldn't find a fold (against KQ) against check-raise flop, turn/river barrels on blank cards. First I thought it was a hugeeee mistake when I had read he has the goods this time, but later I thought on vacuum there was really nothing to do on that hand against that type of player, he could so easily had some missed draw, diamonds, JT, whatever.
There seems to be also "omaha week" going on on Stars, which is nice ♦ There are happy hours when playing omaha doubles VPP's earned (?), unfortunately these are kind of akward times (11-12am, 3-4am), but gonna try find time to grind some hands. Also got some omaha-SNG tickets as a deposit-bonus, I really have no clue how to play omaha-SNG's (or tournaments), but managed to cash 10$ with these 7,5$ worth tickets. The games seem very soft when there are people playing these who have no idea how to play omaha, so maybe I could play some more of these games
The VPP boost is 1.5x, not 2x
And it's not that games have started running more or become a fish tank. PLO8 during tonight's game of the day happy hour was about as dead as usual
(a Zoom 50 pool of about 20 players and a only few normal tables, mostly up to 50). Tomorrow's one (NLO8) is gonna give me more VPPs, though, as NLO8 (shortstack-ridden
) games are more prevalent, and also there are enough NLO8 hypers running.

Yeah, I doubt these rarer games will get too many new players because of this campaign, but hoping to see at least some more action in normal omaha tables during those happyhours ♦
All tournament-$'s converted to cash, let's see how that went..
40 x 1,5$ omaha 50/50-SNG: 60$ buy-in, 67,33$ winnings, 12% ROI
47 x 3,5$ NLHE 50/50-SNG: 164,5$ buy-in, winnings 146,42$, -11% ROI

Oh well, back to omaha

Ups, haven't made any updates since 7th August
It's just that I feel that I play so little, that I makes no sense to make updates practically about nothing :f_biggrin:, but here it goes.
So the challenge was from 23th July to 31st August. There was a mission to grind 10k hands, which I completed, and as a bonus objective I had to grind gold level in WilliamHill with the level up -campaign (have to grind 10 StrategyPoints (2$ rake) for 20 days in August). I seem to have reached the gold level already raking more than required, but I believe there was some small cash prize if I complete the challenge, I've 18 days completed so 2 more to go!

Marginal profit, too bad there was one big losing session
Gonna make an update tomorrow about my games in Stars (where I played those 10k hands), so that maybe I can still get those required 10 updates into this blog by the end of the month?? ♦
Graph from Stars-games

Swingy... I was running 700bb or so under EV, but yesterday had god-mode zoom-session where just won every flip and everything held
I've played so little on Stars this month (playing PLO25), that it really looks like Gold-level for next month is unachievable, don't want to force volume because that affects quality of my play, and anyway it's weekend coming up so don't think I've enough time anyways
Next update, maybe some interesting hands?
Thank you Krupsinator!
So here we go, let's opt-in "Get Rich or Die Tryin'".
Site : Pokerstars
Starting bankroll : 1 150,23 $
Goal : 6 000 $
As blog title says, I mostly play cash game omaha. Though now with the introduction of these Spin & Go's I've been playing those too, since there seems to be vast amount of fish playing those games currently. I usually also waste my money on Sundays playing some megafield MTT's where I never win anything, but maybe someday... one time.... ♦

Can we see your chip EV graph in Spingos? Or is the sample yet too small (<1000)?
Yeah, maybe I should've added that I'm definitely not the most hard-working grinder out there... With my volume the goal to increase 1,5k -> 6k is utopian, but not really the main point in this challenge, is it
This month I've played only 3,5k hands omaha, and ~600 Spin & Go's.
