BTN: $8.85 (88.5 bb)
SB: $4.70 (47 bb)
Hero (BB): $10.10 (101 bb) No sample.
UTG: $13.44 (134.4 bb)
MP: $12.53 (125.3 bb)
CO: $15.10 (151 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with J♦ 8♥
3 folds, BTN raises to $0.20, SB folds, Hero calls $0.10

Flop: ($0.45) 5♦ J♣ K♣ (2 players)
Hero checks

X/c flop, and x/FOLD turn if unimproved [even if it is like 2:h] ?

What about x/raising turn as a bluff and barreling river if the boards get supper drawy [like turn is T:d and river is 4:c] ? Or my hand is not the correct one to do so ? If that is the case, what holdings might be preferable here to go with this bluff line [apart obvious ones like A:cJx]?

Hey wicKeD,

Preflop call is fine vs min-raise here.

Flop x/c followed by turn x/f is fine.

Generally the best hands to bluff raise turn with are those which either make a strong 5-card hand or have air which we can effectively bluff with. For example J8 might spike it's 2pair/trips but can be difficult to tell if that is good on river facing a lot of action.

So something like 9T:d especially if the turn is a diamond, or QhTh etc. These hands make poor showdown hands yet still can hit the nuts.

However notice this guy is probably a fish, so wouldn't bluff.
