No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (4 handed) - Hold'em Manager Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

UTG ($108.70)
Hero (Button) ($100)
SB ($100)
BB ($40)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 9, 9
UTG bets $2, Hero calls $2, SB calls $1.50, 1 fold

Flop: ($7) 10, 5, 7 (3 players)
SB checks, UTG bets $2, Hero calls $2, SB calls $2

Turn: ($13) 9 (3 players)
SB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets $9.30, SB calls $9.30, 1 fold

River: ($31.60) 3 (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $14, SB raises $32, Hero calls $18

Total pot: $95.60

Villan is 21/16 with 5.3 aggr. factor in 380 hands and seems to be a decent reg.
His line looks quite strange but strong.
Since he's giving me so good odds to look him up, is it easy call or easy fold (flush just got there)
He hasn't made

3bet preflop for value unless you have some good reads on a fish in the blinds.

On the flop raise or fold. When you call you basically hope to hit a 2, 3 or a 9 - and on a 2 or a 3 you still have to fold the turn if he bets again.

On the river check back.
You can not valuebet against any worse hands.
If you bet it is as a bluff, against Tx or an overpair. But he's not folding those.

As played after your bet and his raise: fold. You don't get good odds because you'll win about 0% of the time.
Even if you'd actually win 2% you'd still need 50:1 odds, but you only get ~5:1.

Why would I want to raise this flop? His contibet clearly shows fishiness, which will call raises a lot, or do you actually expect worse hands to call here? Or what you ment is to do it as a bluff with having a good read?

so you say betting is a bluff, but that Tx and overpair won't fold?

btw, calling flop is fine. 99 has enough equity and playability there

I meant that by calling we can not really continue on any turn, so I'd just fold.
If we think we can take down the pot often enough we could also argue for raising.

The point is, that we can not get him to call worse hands, so we're bluffing - but he doesn't fold better hands either, so the bluff is -EV. Of course technically you could say that this isn't a bluff but a valuebet for him.

I disagree. We're 3way in the pot, he's not too likely to be bluffing, there are a ton of scarecards and we're not even last to act. So our playability isn't good and vs an UTG range that is cbetting in a 3way pot our equity isn't good either.

@Bierbaer

He turned the set.

Otherwise, flop is close but should mostly be folded unless you think you're capable of taking it away on multiple turns or showing down if you've got the best hand.

against a normal sized cbet i might fold. against this 2bb bet it's pretty obvious that we're often ahead. also, OOP it might be a fold, but we're IP

also, maybe you didn't notive that he hit a set on the turn

Yeah he didn't ... but after I gave it some thought, this totally looks like a flush to me so a bet/fold should be fine on river, although I should bet more IMO.

Lol I somehow missed this minor detail .
Ofc as turned the riverbet is fine, but I'd still fold to the checkraise.
