Yep check behind flop and call or bet turn. As played in turn I would check behind. Point is that villain might not be calling with many weaker hands and with turn KJ got straight. So check behind and re-evaluate in river.

How frequently unknown villain will actually oop float call flop bet with weaker ace? Quite rarely. And exactly what draws are paying off turn bet or does check-raise? J9 of clubs and Tx of clubs might do this play sometimes, but not much else from weaker hands imo. If we don't expect unknown villain to be bit on maniac side.

PS: Maybe some KQ style of hands will call turn bet as well, but considering how dry flop was I see it better to check turn and value bet river if villain check. Hero line will look much weaker that way as well.

SB play is very confusing to me...lol...I think he might have something like QQ or TT by the way he played that.

I would have played it the exact way on every streets. You can't check Top pair + gut shot on the turn you have to bet but you can't go broke because he is most likely way ahead here.

I like the turn but I would also check behind flop. Villain's range on the turn is almost exactly AT and KJ. Ugly spot.
