[Closed] NL100 4way flopped set

Checking flop looks fine - someone should have something often.

I feel like we have to raise once the cbet comes. Its pretty sick if we get 3b but I guess I am going with my hand vs the fish since they can go mad with 2pair etc.

UTG proably doesnt have KT/T8s in his range so we are only worried about QQ.

I think given how many oesds are out there, just calling gives too good odds for people.

So I'm raising to $45-50 at least, to charge the draws properly.

I agree with Tim here. We should raise and the only question comes down to the size we want to make it.

Given we'll raise into 3 people on this flop we will never be put on a bluff so our size can be on the bigger side. So anything above $40 looks fine to me (perhaps even above $45-50).

As a side note, can we not 3-bet to isolate the fish with this hand preflop? I wouldn't mind isolating the fish, or both the recreational players and getting rid of the reg.

I think call > 3bet coz reg can call w very wide range coz if he does it's very likely fish will do same, then BTN call also.

call is the worst option. you're giving people so much odds to hit their gutshots and w/e.
any T/k/8 would give someone else the best hand and even if you still hold the best hand, you would not get too much action from worse hands.

You are saying you dont want to 3b preflop because the reg will call with a wide range because he assumes the fish will also call?

Actually thats a good reason for 3betting - you build the pot with the best hand. If the reg is only calling with better hands, then that would be a bad reason for 3betting since you play against a range you do badly against.

I partly agree.

If the reg is calling with a wide range and the fish overcalls even more, this is a good reason for 3betting.
However, if the reg folds everything except for KK+ and the fish calls a wide range, we still want to 3bet for value vs the fish.

Anyway, I think you should definitely squeze preflop as there's so much value in it - you can potentially take down a pot of 13BB right away! And in case you're called you have the best hand oftentimes.

As played you should definitely checkraise the flop.
I agree with Bogdan about the bestsizing: make it big. The last thing you want is to give people the odds to call - you'll be committed on a lot of turns because even if the straight hits we still have 11 outs for either a FD or quads.
