Hello everybody

What do you think of this hand? On the begining of the tournament, no major reads on the oponent, I consider the oponent a TAG, only played 40 hands with him (also dont have any stats reading program for tournaments, pity that elephant cannot do it!).

I think my table image is also of a TAG.

Not sure about the flop. floating here is probably ok since we are HU and then we get to play vs the widest range. Don't mind raising tho either.

However I probably do put in a raise on the turn - feel like im losing value.

River - bet bigger like 2/3rd. Would near always expect villian to be ch/calling in this spot given how he played turn and river. Plus on this board there are no hands where you don't have a pair anyway - imo 1200 just looks more bluffy.

When he jams its ugly - but guess i make a nitfold. I mean I dont think he has a straight v often because of his betsizing on flop and turn - neither do I think he would ch/shove on a card that potentially ruins his hand. Sure only AA,QQ,AQ,AT beat you - but I just don't see him bluffing ever.

@amplifyd
r we raising getting it in on flop or turn?

@stealyourblinds

i'm playing this hand fast, probably raising and geting it in on flop or turn,
as played i'll bet on bigger side as ampifyd says ~1200 and you should probbly fold to a shove if villain is descent most likely he has AQ/QQ (i'll use time bank and check his stats) if he is good i'll fold, if he is fish i'll call imo fish will have AK,Ax or 88 like a ton there, and cos the field of main event is huge i'll asume that he is more likely to be fish then good => thats why i'll try to get all the stacks in on flop or turn

im not going broke on flop, nor turn no. if he reraises i'll probably call revauluating and likely only calling another bet - dependds on betsizing/timing too.

hmm sizing???
if we raise turn we should probbly rasie to ~1200 and if he reraise he will shove or raise to 3k and he will have less then pot bet left on river so u r sugesting that we will fold blank river when villain shoves?

wait just looked at stacks - i thought we were 150bb deep.

yea raise and go broke imo

but i wud probs raise the flop since it looks less nutty than call raise turn

i am raising flop & getting it in either there or next streets. calling flop is fine but we must raise turn for value. i just prefer raising flop because i wud do it with alot of hands, so my perceived range is going to be wider than my range on the turn.

as played i call riv. he can have these other nutted hands sure but he can also have a hand like AK/AJ that he realises he can c/shove for value since u are going to bet quite a wide range on the river. (when A pairs u are going to be betting hands like KQ)

his sizing on turn isn't really asif hes wanting to ship in the money, so it looks more like a 1 pair hand than his 2p+. ofc he can still have them in his range but imo its less likely.

if he has 2pairs + sets in his range, then KJ is probably in his range, (given turn bet sizing, if he has v strong hand on this board u would expect it to be KJ more often right? (plenty of combos to start with, secondly, if turn bet is a strong hand then he isn't so worried about K or J coming etc.)) so if u assume he ch/shoves river with hands like AJ AK then he also has KJ imo.

I'll agree. raising flop would be fine too.
on the river i can't give up. in the scoop me low are sooo many donks (just timebank and opr him, if hes really good fold, if hes losingplayer or a player without experience call river)

greets
